Tactical Heavyweight Balaclava Outdoor Sports Mask (Grey)

I work, play, and live in a cold environment 6-8 months out of the year. Well below zero degrees Fahrenheit often. This product makes dealing with inclement weather easy. It’s very warm, well made, and easy to use and store. I strongly recommend it

Let me start by saying that this thing is extremely warm, it's also HUGE on my head. We've had a cold snap where I live and I was looking for something to wear while watching soccer games, came across this and at the price figured why not. I received it and tried it on, immediately my head was lost in the hood, which depending on what you want it for may be a great thing. If your looking for something really warm and soft to wear while watching others this is great, however, if your thinking about one of these for hunting or to wear while being active yourself I would suggest against them. The hood is so deep that while providing great cover from the wind and elements it blocks all of your peripheral vision. I attempted to pull the hood back on my head, but it doesn't sit right and after just a little bit of being active it moves it's way back to it's original position. All in all for what I bought it for I'm quite pleased with this product.

Pros: this balaclava is made with fleece of good quality and strength, I wore it during the Jan. 29-31 polar vortex and it stood the -20F wind chills. Also, its size is comparable to a hoddie's hood, which allows me to wear a beanie hat or baseball cap underneath. Finally, I liked its versatility, turning from hood to neckwarmer to facemask when needed. This is especially helpful when walking outdoors and the body temperature changes.Cons: like other reviewers, I recommend washing this balaclava before wearing to get rid of its out-of-warehouse smell. In my particular case, this scent was not nauseating or strong, but since I wear the mouth flap to cover my nose, I preferred not to sense any smells from the garment. Additionally, I think the design of the mouth flap can be improved, I wish it had an little bit of elastic so it can stay over my nose for longer.In conclusion, I endorse this garment. I will update this review at the end of winter to check how its material endured normal wear/use.

Got this for my sister and nephew for ski trip to Finland. My sister said it really kept her warm during cross country and slope skiing when temps were around -20C/ -4F best part is it keeps neck and chest warm. This is good quality balaclava. My nephew loves it so much, he wears around his neck all the time. My sister and nephew gave it 5stars and I am passing this message to other fellow skiers. I wore this balaclava myself during Arctic Vortex in Chibiria - Chicago on Jan30 and 31st. I wore balaclava an Ski mask and drove to work like that. It was little bit nippy =) while I was warming up car in -30C/-22F temps. It does keep head and neck warm and face protected from frost bite. Per my skier family and myself, we do recommend this item for winter activities. Good quality for good price. It does have funky smell tho, I washed it and smell went away.

I am a petite woman, and this product fit me very well. Based on some of the other reviews, I was worried that it would be too big. It fits just right, and I think it would fit most people well. The trick is not to pull the hood too far forward unless you are using the drawstring to keep your face warm. The face mask potion can be held over your nose or pushed under the chin, making it versatile. It's made from a soft, warm fleece. In extreme windchill situations it might not be warm though - but I don't expect wind-proofing from a $10 product. It could probably be worn under another hood for extra warmth and wind resistance.I have night classes, so I can't avoid long chilly walks. I think this product will help keep me warm and make my walks a lot more comfortable. Thanks!

It keeps you warm but it’s not super thick. I love the fact that it’s long enough to tuck down into your coat to keep the cold air from entering your neck area. It’s also pretty cool that you can turn it into a bag. My brother uses it at the ice rink. He’ll put his keys, phone and bottle of water and carries it into the rink and then when he goes out onto the ice he puts in on.

So i bought thus for my boyfriend because he works outside transporting cars. When we got which was in 3 days without any extra shipping. I immediately tried it on. Both my boyfriend and i have larger heads and i put it on with my hair in a bun and i had room to spare but it wasn't to loose the mouth cover was perfect not too loose or too tight. If you have a smaller head i coukd see how this would be too big. But if you have a larger head this is perfect. I did have to make slits on both sides of the hat by the sholders so that the front and back flaps fit better over my boyfriend's shoulders. And the fabric is super soft and super super warm. The first work day after we got it was 20 degrees out and he said it kept him nice and toasty.

This item arrived on time and in good condition. It's warm and easy to put on and take off. I would have liked it to be a few inches deeper but that is my preference.
