A Special Voice
I really enjoy this album and it's the first Gregory Porter album I've purchased. This isn't my usual type of listening material but when I first heard Porter on Later with Jools Holland his voice grabbed me straight away as being something special.Buttery smooth but retains plenty of power and a raw rasp to convey emotion when needed. This album is nicely recorded for a live show and the orchestra add a level of grandeur which really brings some songs alive but I also really like the quieter songs with simple accompaniment from his own band."I wonder who my Daddy is" is a particularly emotional performance and so beautiful because of it.I like listening to this album through headphones but its at its best when played through a decent hifi set up which adds more space and air to the sound.I'm currently on Amazon adding more of his CD's to my basket, he's that good!I hope you find my review helpful.

A pleasant surprise
Though this is a live music album I love it just the same as if it were recorded in a studio, it’s a pretty big tribut to a great Man.

Good service, great CD
Music is obviously very subjective, but I really enjoy this CD, it has a lovely laid-back vibe. It arrived really quickly too.

Beware unless you're mad about Nat King Cole
I love Gregory Porter: his latest album All Rise is just fabulous, his best yet: terrific songs and commercial. But this is a reminiscence of his love for Nat King Cole's music and features very little else.
