Great coat
As a woman, I looked and looked for a woman's coat that I could use for walking my dogs in the cold rainy weather. Women's coats often just do not have enough pockets or features. So I decided to start looking for men's coats. This one is great. It's super warm, blocks the wind, has a ton of pockets and a great hood. It is a big roomy and the sleeves are a little too long, as expected, but I like the roomy feel and just roll the sleeves up a bit. So glad I have this for cold windy mornings.

Good budget winter jacket warm enough for Canadian winter
I have been looking for a winter jacket for a while now, but didn't want to spend a ton of money. I saw this jacket and the 3 in 1 aspect piqued my interest, so bought it.What you may like:1. Nice material, soft on the inside2. The material is thick and appears to be good quality3. Has an inner lining that is removable4. Has a hood that is removable5. Very warm. I used it in Toronto last week of Dec 2017 where it was -31F and it kept me warm. When I got back to Vancouver, where it is milder, I removed the inner lining and it kept me warm without me sweating inside.6. Has lots of pockets, with some pockets inside the jacket as well7. Good fit, the measurements are accurate (maybe a tiny bit on the cozy side with the inner lining)8. Simple design that looks good.9. At a $117 (at the time of the review), it is good valueWhat you may not like1. I personally prefer a zipper pocket on the top part of the jacket for easy access to a cell phone, and this one doesn't have one (it has one inside). It has a buttoned pocket. Minor, but it might be annoying for some.2. The inside pocket zipper is small and can be sticky

A little big in the midsection
This would have been perfect when I was a bit bigger. I'm closer to average build now, but my shoulders are still a little broad. The XL fits perfect in the shoulders but its pretty baggy around the midsection. There's a drawstring to help adjust for that, but it can only do so much. This is a layering jacket. This is not meant to be your only defense against the elements. It's not going to block heavy rain. It's not going to block frigid winds. It blocks wind much better than some of these reviews suggest, in my opinion, but it's not a windbreaker, nor does it make the horrific sound that those polyester windbreakers/puffer jackets make. This jacket, over a hoodie, over a flannel, over a t shirt, will get you through an hour outside shoveling the drive at 0F. That's what I wanted it to do, and it does that quite well.

Fantastic coat. Well worth the money.
The material is soft and it is WARM. I used the liner for a week or so of temps in the teens, but have since taken it out and the coat is plenty warm for ~30º mornings. It's also a great looking coat. It's not perfect. There are some cons. Two of the three chest pockets are fake. One is a zipper that goes nowhere and the other is just a side-facing flap, albeit with a little dangly loop that could be used for keys or lift passes or the like (but there's no pocket behind that flap to stash it in). Not a big deal but I'm a bit of a pocket addict so it was disappointing. Now I have fewer places to stick items and forget about them for years. The liner also stank when I received the coat. I'm not sure what the smell was but 10 minutes or so in the dryer aired it out nicely. Oh yeah, and the zipper is backwards, like women's zippers, but it's a nice metal zipper that I think will last at least long-enough for me to figure out how to use it without cursing.None of these things really detract from the overall greatness of the coat, though. It's just something to be prepared for.The company is also superb. The sizing, at least at the time I purchased it, was WAY off. I took my measurements and matched it up to the provided chart. I came in just at the top end of one of the sizes so I ordered the next size up to be safe. A representative from the company sent me an email asking me for my measurements and they wound up recommending the size above the size I'd chosen. I accepted their recommendation and am happy I did. It would have been a very snug fit otherwise. So when you order it, watch for that email and send them your numbers.Buy the coat. You won't regret it.

It is warm, even the size is a little stretch.
Even the text says Hood and sherpa lining are not removable, picture shows that they are removable. So, it is confusing. I would prefer removable as the picture shows.

FANTASTICALLY WARM!
Bought this winter coat and have only good things to say about it.It feels thick and puffy rather than hollow and puffy; a solid piece of weather protection that should last for years.Great wind protection and heat retention. The only potential trouble I've found with this coat is that exercising or running in the jacket can cause the metal "dangles" which are on the drawstring to swing into my eye and because they are solid little bell-shaed pieces, they can hurt you!So, I replaced mine with a plastic cord lock https://amzn.to/3HWdvfq, as it helps cinch the hood better and also removes the potential harm of being hit in the face with the swinging metal dangles.Other than that, if this coat matches your price range and fashion sense, it is a perfect buy.

Zipper failed after 2nd time wearing it.
This coat runs at least 1/2 size small I thought it would still be fine for my trip to Jackson Hole Wy. in December. But after wearing it twice the zipper failed. It came apart after I zipped it up almost to my neck. I tried to unzip it but it would not go down. We tried for twenty minutes then had to forcibly rip the zipper open. I would like to return but I purchased it in September for our December trip and the return deadline has passed. Now what do I do with a coat that won't zip??
