Festival Whole Baby Corn - Extra Fancy, 15-Ounce (Pack of 12)

These baby corns have a nice, mild flavor and no nasty after-taste like some baby corn. They are great in the chinese-style dishes I make and help add a bit of vegetable to the meat dishes. Some baby corn I have bought have an unpleasant after-taste, so I'm really happy I found these. I'll get these again.

I recently discovered low carb ramen and was looking for ways to step it up. This was one recommendation I found and, indeed, it is excellent. Taste, texture, and visual appearance all contribute to a great meal experience. One can will serve four to six persons and there's no waste. The price is right, too.

It's just baby corn. Whole ears. You can cook them up with other veggies, maybe do an Asian stir-fry meal. Or chop them into bite sized pieces and use them (cooked or raw) in a salad. If the cans arrive intact, they are VERY YUMMY.My first order was good, with three cans slightly damaged (not enough to affect product quality though).My second order arrived in a box from the corn company's warehouse, inside a bigger Amazon shipping box. Both boxes were in good condition, no signs of damage after packing/shipping. But inside the inner box, EVERY SINGLE CAN that I ordered was DEMOLISHED as if it got run over by the forklift truck in the warehouse and they just said "screw it, ship it anyway." (see pics I've posted.) Clearly they're damaged so badly that the seal between the can and lid has been broken, allowing air to get into the cans. I opened one and found a film of bacteria growing inside the can because of the damage. Which means they are INEDIBLE and will caused FOOD POISONING if anyone would try to eat it. All twelve cans!! It was an entire case of BAD, DAMAGED PRODUCT and the corn company shipped it anyway.Then the Amazon automated return system says "this item is ineligible for return or refund" so I had to call Amazon support and get a live agent on the phone to get a refund.So next time I'm going to drive the 55 minutes to the nearest grocery store (yeah I live in the middle of nowhere which is why I like to buy groceries online) because the seller DOES NOT CARE enough to remove DANGEROUSLY DAMAGED FOOD PRODUCTS from circulation. And I'll buy a different brand next time, too. I'll be a one-man boycott until they learn to treat their customers RIGHT.
