Really beautiful ottoman and fits in the living room perfectly. The storage is plentiful for blankets, or games and the tables work really well to either use as a hard surface to play board games on or to use as a coffee table. The tables can be stored inside if you want something soft to rest your feet on too. The build quality seems really good, but since we have a cat that likes to scratch things we will see how well it holds up. The tables seem solid and we have used them as lap trays to eat off of. They work well as serving trays or lap trays and look good doing it. You can open the storage with the tables on top easily too. I have not really noticed any smell from inside or out that some people have noticed either.I am in the market for a few more pieces of furniture for my living room and will definitely be looking to see what else this company has to offer in future.

No assembly. Would never know it's not genuine leather. Ample storage. The trays look great along with being versatile. Great addition to the living room for storage, extra seating and to use as a coffee table!

Excellent storage area under the lid, included trays are well designed, but unfortunately they are not made to carry items that can slide off. However, overall great set, inexpensive and cost friendly. I watch TV and eat on them all the time.

I actually bought this about 7 years ago, and it's still going strong! I looked long and hard for something like this back then and was stoked when we found this! The one we bought had more of a bare wood, but my wife stained and sealed it so it looks just like the ones they're selling now (wish they had these then!) the trays are sturdy but easy to move or push aside to use as an ottoman. this has been used pretty much daily for 7 years and we love it and hope to keep using it for many years to come!One issue that recently came up was that the hinge stopped propping up on its own, so we have to hold it up ourselves to get stuff in and out. On a whim I reached out to the company and asked if they sell replacements and to my surprise they shipped them right out to me, even after all these years! What a fantastic company to stand behind their products so much. Even if we had to pay for them I would have just to keep using this thing, it was one of the best pieces of furniture we have ever bought! Grab it, you won't regret it!

Bought this item as an alternative to a wooden coffee table. Have an 18-month-old who likes to climb and has a (relatively) poor sense-of-balance (great combo!).Indeed, this item is perfect for my situation because it has soft, padded sides and edges and lots of storage to boot! Plus, the top is smooth and firm enough to set drinks onto (without the trays).The wooden trays are OK, but I probably won't use them much. One tray has a spot that is rough and unfinished - as if it brushed against a grinder or something after it was finished. With a toddler in the house, nothing stays pristine anymore so this blemish is not critical to me (but may be to a potential buyer).Overall, this item looks great, offers a ton of storage, and is sturdy enough to climb (if you're a toddler) or sit on (if you're a person or a cat)!

I liked the idea of the trays in the picture, I love the trays in person. They make this bench. The trays are large, thick, substantial and beautiful. The bench easily holds a blanket, two large throws and a pillow that get used often in the living room. I love that they are now out of sight when not in use. The trays are lap trays for eating, holding the laptop, a writing surface for balancing the checkbook and paying bills or playing solitaire with real cards. Then they too get placed back on top of the bench out of the way. I love that the bench top opens up with the trays on top with no problem. They just stay in place. Without the trays the bench would be ok, nice enough in quality and looks but with the trays I feel like i got a real bargain and a more custom looking piece. Quite a feat for a faux leather bench. I was also worried it might be too dark, my new living room furniture is medium brown, the trays being a lighter, redder hue lighten the feel of the dark color. I am very pleased overall. Oh, it got delivered on a Tuesday when I had ordered it in the middle of Saturday night, can't beat that time.

Exactly what I was looking for! Our original coffee table was too large for our smaller living room and unsafe for our on-the-move baby. I wanted something that could be easily wiped down, wouldn’t show finger or hand prints, and was padded or somehow soft enough so that our son wouldn’t hurt himself rolling or cruising into it. No musty smell as some other reviews reported, and the storage space was bigger than I expected. It’s possible to store more than just the trays that it came with inside (see photos) and the top will stay open on its own til you shut it. It does slide pretty easily when pushed (even with stuff inside weighing it down) and the legs keep it about 2 inches off the floor. Great for the price and looks much more expensive than what we paid for it!

This is a compact and beautiful ottoman/coffee table. I would readily give it 5 stars except for 2 little things.Firstly, the interior has a terrible chemical smell that has yet to fully dissipate after several weeks.Secondly, one of the trays came with a noticeable gouge in it. It's weird because the gouge seems to be under the finish, which means they stained a damaged tray. I guess it got missed in the QC process. It's still very pretty and I am currently only using one tray, so I put the damaged one in the storage section.One other point is that the top foam section where you place your feet is stiff when you first start using it. It takes a couple of days before it softens up.

After looking at many stores this ottoman was exactly what I had been looking for. It is not huge - big enough inside to store the two trays and to store 3 blankets. It seems to be very well made and had no scratches or marks on it. Excellent product for the price.

I ordered this product and when it arrived the box and ottoman were very badly damaged. They were super quick to send me my replacement after I sent it back and just received my replacement today which was considerably better but still had a small slice in the side of the lid. It is small but will probably get bigger over time. The $200 I paid for it was a lot for what it is. But i needed something to replace my coffee table which was not kid friendly. The original damage was probably caused during shipping. But not sure about the second one. Overall it looks nice with the trays on it.
