ParkPower by Marinco 50 Amp, 125/250V (4-Wire) RV Cordset

I finally broke down and ordered the Marinco power cord. I have always wanted one but couldn't afford. I finally saw a great price and purchased. Quality thru and thru. I have a surge protector that it was almost impossible to disconnect from my old cord. With the new cord connect and disconnect are effortless. If you have a similar setup or problem, this is the one for you??

Our 5th Wheel RV trailer came equipped with 50-amp service with a 40' detachable electric cord. The original cord has worked well for 5 plus years of "Fulltimer" use,however, it was difficult to coil back up when preparing to travel on cool or cold mornings. I knew that the Marinco power cords are the Gold Standard but when I first looked at them, they were in the $600 range and I think that was for the 25' version. We spent this past winter in Florida and even managed to snag a week stay in the Keys on a private property, but the RV electric plug was 70 to 75' away from our parking spot. This was the incentive to spend the money on the Marinco cord and I was pleasantly surprised to find it on Amazon for the mid $300 range, and this was for the longer 35' version. I'm tickled with my purchase and ended up replacing the twist-loc trailer connector end on my original electrical cord with a 50-amp RV extension cord plug, so I now have a nice long extension cord for the occasional need in situations like in this Florida Keys location. The one and only thing I would prefer is if the twist-loc trailer connector end was the 90-degree type, to allow the cord to hang down, and put less strain on the cord/plug connection. Marinco does make some Marine & RV cords with the 90-degree trailer/boat connector but not this series cord. The male end that plugs into the dock box is of the 90-degree type so it does hang down.
