The Buzzing Book (Complete Method) for Trumpet and Other Treble Clef Brass Instruments with MP3 Accompaniments

Good book for opening up your sound and finding the center of the pitch. I've only been playing out of it a few weeks, but I'm thinking the long-term goal is to open up your sound by finding the center of the note, helping your note accuracy by mp playing, and helping to reduce pressure by mp practice. Seems like its good flow study practice too, because of the constant blow from note to note. It seems to be changing my petal chops too. I think in a good way, but still to early to be definitive.

A necessity when it comes to fundamental trumpet playing! Thompson is a great teacher and really understands his stuff!

It takes about a month of really consistent work with the cd, but big changes in flow and stamina. Love it! At first the synthesizer is annoying, but now i look forward to the goofiness each morning of buzzing!

Really good book and will help in improving my trumpet skills.

It's not very long, only about 36 pages. I haven't dug into it but it seems to have a lot of good exercises and ideas, and frankly if a book is one page and it teaches you something important, then it's a good book.
