Solid Workhorse
I am a technician who works with everything from small machines, to electronics, to wood and wires and batteries. I work indoors and outdoors. This is absolutely my go to knife. It is really sturdy and keeps a good blade. The addition of the serrated section is very important to me. One handed operation is very nice and I like the security slider. I don't understand people who walk around with a $200 pocket knife on the worksite. You don't use a Ferrari to dig ditches. You want a solid workhorse and this is it. I always keep a back up just in case and when I went to visit family I sent one to myself so I would make sure I had my trustee tool when I landed. I just don't feel right without it. Leaving it in the car at the airport is always such a bummer.

Great knife for the money
For the money this is one of the best knives. I don’t care for the little switch you have to push to open but the quality you get for under 20$ can’t be beat. I almost cried when I left my first one on a RV pedestal in Co. Found a replacement on Amazon.

Great Knife, for specific applications.
I think Dewalt makes a great knife. I really like their knives, however, the spring assist is something that I am not incredibly fond of, I found it to be difficult to open when hands are wet, and with that, I would not recommend it for applications in which you need to open and close your blade often, as the spring assist is not as easy as the manual opener, so I would have to say that I prefer my Dewalt manual (w/o spring assist) as it is not compromised when wet, and doesn't force your thumb into an unnatural position for opening. However, what I will say in favor if the Dewalt spring assist is that it would be a great knife to use when you need a safety feature that could detour people from accidentally cutting themselves, as the spring assist serves similar to a safety lock, where a child would have a hard time opening the knife, which I think makes it a good knife to use in a culinary or household work where secure blades are favorable.

I’d buy another one.
Good cheap knife that cuts and if you lose it big deal.

Great knife, but…
Out of the three I have it’s my least favorite. The yellow one is the beefiest, the other black one has a much better imo unassisted quick open. And it’s the only one without serrations. So it’s a great knife but the company it keeps puts it in third place.

HARD TO OPEN
The opening mechanism is horrible at best. The safety tab/release is nearly flush with the scale and it is smooth to the touch- I need to use a fingernail to get the safety to move. The spring does little to assist in the opening action. Do not recommend. UPDATE: I took the safety tab and spring out so that it is no longer hindering the ability to open the blade. I also filed the surface of the opening lever/tab to give it a rough texture so that I can open it with relative ease using only one finger- it’s usable now as a pocket carry work knife.

Great knife for the money
It's a great knife for the money. Opens well, edge is holding so far. The opening system works well. It's for right handed operation though. I'm left-handed, it's a little difficult.

Not good
It’s stiff and dull. The spring doesn’t work too well. Had to buy this since my other black dewalt knife got stolen at work.
