Can be mounted vertically against wall
I purchased this unit for installation in my wiring closet, because (1) It has an Ethernet connection for remote management (RMCARD205); (2) CyberPower confirmed that I could mount it vertically against the wall, to minimize space (photo); (3) It can support additional battery modules (I doubt I will need this feature). I have two desktop machines and my network modem, router and switch connected, and they consume about 200W. The unit projects that it could sustain them for two hours, more than long enough to survive power glitches and to allow for safe shutdown for a longer power outage. We haven't had a real power outage yet, but I simulated an outage by cutting power to the unit. Someday I may add a generator, and then this unit will be good for preventing data loss while the generator fires up, and also for ensuring that the generator output is well-regulated. My only frustration has been with trying to verify that the device firmware is up-to-date. The CyberPower website lists firmware revisions for the RMCARD, which I have installed. But it does not indicate the latest firmware revisions for the UPS, USB and LCD display. Probably the unit was shipped with the latest firmware, but it would be good to be certain of that.

Improved version
They've improved the charging to be multi-stage which should allow the batteries to hold up better/longer and need replacement less-often. Also improved the rack rails to where slider-rails are now mounted to the unit and the unit then 'hangs' from the rack-rail; vs the older version that has giant L-brackets that extend beyond the U.Overall a good improvement. Just wish the price hadn't nearly doubled since I bought my previous unit 3 years ago.

It's 240 volts only. Not easy to find that distinction and a pain to send back.
This unit is for 240 volts only. I missed that, ordered it, and now have to send this monster back. This is the US - how many folks need a 240 only device ? You would think that it would be prominent in the description so that a mistake like this would be more difficult to make. What a SS.

Disappointment in a huge heavy box...
Had been using it for a few months and was working fine but two power outages later and it's tapped out. The wiring failure light came on and it's stuck that way. I have lower end models of cyberpower that still work and have taken power outages like champs and this "big brother" is just a joke. I don't recommend at all.

Arrived Dead on Arrival: NOT the product to have this happen to
Not much to say other than awful product. Had to order early due to pandemic and a large project we ordered this for. By the time we had the proper power installed to test the unit, amazon would no longer fulfill the product and the company is a HUGE pain to deal with for warranty.Product is a fail, amazon failed, and so has the company. They have none in stock at cyberpower so even though warrantied, there is no product to replace it with. They just state "sorry about that".So they 1. give us a failed product, 2. don't offer any solutions, and 3. take your money and say sorry. Here is hoping we actually get a return in the next year. Do not buy units like this from amazon, we would have been better off ordering direct from the manufacturer, they support it better when you do.

Going strong
I’m using this in a network rack to power a modem, switch, and router/firewall. The only thing I don’t like is that the model I have is only 2 post mountable, so the rear sags a bit in the rack due to the weight, but since I have it mounted at the bottom it’s not much of an issue.

A beast and solid
I needed to get rack mounted UPSes for my new server cabinet. Did my research and found these were great units and the price was better than other brands. Unit is heavy and will remove batteries to make it easier to install in the rack. Comes complete with mounting rails and cables. I got mine with the RMCARD205 to monitor and get event updates for easier maintenance. A great unit for my server rack and HomeLab.

Great UPS, full featured.
High quality, server rack UPS, sine wave, silent even on battery, and fans actually only spin when needed, they’ve never spun on me even on battery. Feature rich, external battery available, web management card is just ok. Will buy again.

Decent rack UPS for SOHO use
Edit: this review is specifically for the CyberPower PR1500RTXL2UN with remote card. For normal "home" usage a rack mount UPS is probably overkill, but I wanted to rack mount all of my networking gear and after a lot of looking decided on this Cyberpower unit with integrated network management card. According to the Cyberpower website, this is the largest UPS they provide with a standard 3 prong kettle plug (NEMA 5-15P), the larger capacities all use the 20R or other variants).First things first: this thing is heavy and I would advise about moving it entirely on your own - if only to avoid accidents. Once I had unboxed it, I removed the battery to make it easier to move around and that helped.Installing it into my rack (a 12U Startech RKWOODCAB12) was reasonable easy. The provided rails fit exactly, fully collapsed, inside the rack posts (with a little effort) - however the optional handles were too deep to allow the front door of the rack to close so I had to remove them.General usage; well it's a UPS except with some network management features. The fans hardly spin - but if they do, at full tilt they are very noisy. The front control panel provides useful information and is pretty easy to navigate. I have not yet made use of the SNMP functionality so I cannot comment on that; however I have at least been into the management interface and it has some interesting features for tracking usage, consumption etc. Another good thing about this particular UPS is that it supports expansion battery cells to increase capacity and runtime.Overall I like what I have seen so far and hope that it serves me well.
