20 Gauge Round Half Hard 14/20 Gold Filled Wire - 5FT

The wire is of good quality, no tarnish, clean coil, and as described. Packaging was excellent, in zip bag, wrapped in beautiful tissue inside a nice sturdy box, arrived w/in stated delivery.This is MY mistake, but think it's important to share w/ other buyers: I ordered several different gauges (from same seller) in 25 ft lengths, and mistakenly chose this item which contains only 5ft. This same exact gauge in dead soft is only a couple more dollars for 25 ft, which is what I thought I was ordering. The prices for 25 ft are pretty good, however, the price for only 5 ft of 28 gauge wire (which gets used up VERY quickly in any small wire wrapped piece) is extremely high. For this gauge I will have to look elsewhere, but would order any of their 25 ft pieces, as they are of excellent quality.

I normally wrap with cheaper wire, but I found this for a special "shaman blessed" stone the I wanted to dress up. I like white metal over gold metal and this came with a beautiful luster. It has a nice, heave gauge and is just stiff enough to work with and hold once finished. Of course this drives up the cost of any jewelry making project so this will be a special occasion wrap for me, but I'll buy this again. BTW, I wrapped my stone with 18G aluminum wire which I had on hand to find out exactly how much I would need and get a good idea of how it would look. I might recommend this if you have a hard time estimating the amount needed for the job.

I bought this wanting a gold wire that I could make earrings and rings from that wouldn't tarnish. Honestly, very impressed. This was worn in the salt water for a couple of times and did not tarnish at ALL! Wanted it to be harder, but that's more my mistake than an issue with the product. Impressed and will purchase again.

It starts hard and, and gets harder as you go, but it does peen well and looks good when done. This is 14 AWG or 0.0641 inch and fit my Geneva Cutlery razor perfectly. Looks to be a perfect fit for Ontario Cutlery too. There is no standard pin diameter so check what you need carefully.

I have been making earrings out of these. After a long time without wearing earrings, I found that hardly any little gold earrings are available locally anymore. Most of the "silver" earrings available are just silver-tone, and the "hypo-allergenic" ones just have some protective coating on the wires that wears off and irritates my ears. This wire is easy for me, a jewelry amateur, to work with, and I have made a number of pairs of simple earrings satisfactorily.

I came already pretty tarnished (black) on one side... But I also got a huge spool when I only ordered 5ft so that's good I guess

Wire is a nice color, not brassy like other gold filled/plated stuff. It arrived in great condition, no kinks, in packaging small enough to fit in the mailbox.
