Schools Out, But a Passing Grade, So Far
I've only used two of these so far. The first tore apart moments after installation, but it's possible I didn't notice a slight air gap under a portion of it during installation, which would have caught on the edge of the board I was rounding over. The second disk has been working just fine for some time and shows signs of having a reasonable life span. Of course, how long it provides good service will be dependent on if I continue to take time to clean it, when needed. For that, I use and recommend investing in the long rubber "eraser," which is designed for that purpose. That the second disk is still doing well supports the probability of operator error during installation being the cause of failure for the the first one. Of course, defect shouldn't be ruled out yet. Both disks ran or run on a Powermatic sander. It's a pretty serious sander, especially compared to the little Hitachi I used to have, so disks and belts have to be high quality to hold up.I'll try to update this report after time allows for a bit more experience with the disk.

Be careful with these. I cleaned the metal disc ...
Be careful with these. I cleaned the metal disc spotless with no residue and stuck one of these on then 2 weeks later it exploded and the piece I was sanding got caught and locked up the motor. Second disc installed 3 days later shrapnel everywhere.

Woodstock 12 inch 80 grit sanding disk
This is the second time I have ordered the 12 inch sanding disks. The adhesive on the back really sticks to the backing plate all the way out to the edge. They stay on until you decide to pull them off. The heavy backing on the disks and the use of a cleaning stick, (when needed), helps the disks last a long time. I use them on both wood and metal projects. The 80 grit removes stock quickly but still leaves a nice finish on both hard and soft wood as well as aluminum and mild steel.

I might try some 3M spray adhesive but I'd recommend avoiding these
t took almost two months to get my new Powermatic sander. I just got the new sander set up today and tried to put on one of these disks and it wouldn't adhere. I am beyond the return date because of the delay in getting the sander so I am stuck with these discs. I might try some 3M spray adhesive but I'd recommend avoiding these.

Good sanding discs, but not every piece has the same level of adhesi
These are perfect for my 12" stationary disc sander! I've ordered these twice and the first package was great, but then the second package's sandpaper adhesive was just not sticking to my sander. It was peeling off on its own, so I contacted Amazon customer service and they shipped out a new one. The new ones have great adhesive sticking power so it might've just been the one I received. Overall I will continue using this product and have it in 80 and 120 grit to switch between!

Woodstock 12 inch 120 grit sanding disks
This is the second time I have ordered these 12 inch sanding disks. The adhesive on the back works well as the disks stick to the backing plate all the way out to the edge and they do not come off until you decide to pull them off. The disks have a heavy backing and with the use of a cleaning stick, (when needed), they last a good long time. I have used them for both wood and metal projects. The 120 grit is perfect for putting a smooth finish on almost everything. Use the coarser grits for faster stock removal.

Buckled...adhesion loss.
Edges buckled which causes the adhesive to fail. All other grit that I purchased at the same time adhered as expected without any ripples or buckling. Brand new anodized disc was cleaned with alcohol prior to application.

Disk sanding is good
Good for a table saw sanding disk. Has decent stick assuming that the disk is truly clean. Be very sure it is! I failed with lacquer thinner and ended up scrubbing off the new disk's protective coating with alcohol. Had to cut a hole in the sandpaper for the mounting nut and washer with a hole saw which is not entirely easy or fun. It does sand very well and I am sorry I didn't use this kind of sanding system before.
