Good quality heavy-weight cable, just the job for running outdoors across your garden to a garage/office/shed etc. I have no doubt direct burial would be a preferable option, if only to keep sunlight off it and avoid accidental damage, but in my case I clipped it to a garden fence using 8mm cable clips (cable is 7mm diameter). I would suggest not using tight-fitting (7mm) clips as these will add stress points. Even better - use P-clips which naturally add more flexibility. This new cable replaces my old standard (but good quality) ethernet cable which was not rated for outdoor use and on which the outer sheath disintegrated after 4 years use. It failed where the clips were attached along its length thus exposing the inner cores. That cable was only ever intended to be short-term solution anyway, this new cable I would expect to last many more years if attached more carefully. Yes, it is stiffer and thicker than a standard cable - what did you expect? It needs to be to do the job!

This cable looks solid, is much thicker than cat5 cable. Feels like it's going to last long. However there's a major problem with this cable. It cuts the download speed by a lot. My broadband is 150mbps download and that's what I get over the Wifi or even my short cat5 cable. But this cat7 cable only reaches up to 90mbps and won't go any faster. I don't know if it's due to the length or is the cable faulty. Hard to tell but a 15m cable should not be loosing that much speed. So overall a bit disappointed.

This cable runs from my attic, through the outside wall, down the wall and into a buried conduit for about 10 metres into my workshop.Although I thought I had overestimated the length I would require, this 30m cable only just did it, so best to get a longer run than you might think you need.I get the full (fibre) 65Mb/s download and the 12Mb/s upload which is as much as my internet connection allows in my rural location.Most importantly, the cable worked flawlessly and its robust nature meant that pulling it through the 5cm underground conduit was without incident. I put a cable extender connector on the RJ45 plug whilst I did this.And should I ever get offered a faster FTTP broadband connection this cable will support that, so I've future proofed my workshop too.

I used this cable round the outside of my house , it felt flexible and substantial, it is a little more expensive but I felt it was better quality and well woth the extra money. I had previously bought the same length cable off Amazon but cheaper, but was false economy. I would recommend.

You'll need a minimum of 20mm hole to get the RJ45 connectors through the wall but it's well worth it. Well made solid cable, i expect it to last for many years! It doesn't get better than this!

The cable far better than my previous one, with instant fast images for the gaming. Durable and hard wearing casing but flexible enough to get round corners.

My ethernet is working well, cable seems to be strong and flexible, but really stable. Was able to attach it with holders, goes around the corner and under the door, but if the door is too tight you may need to drill a hole. I do streaming and it does make video much more stable.

Used these to connect outbuildings to the house. Really well made and durable but less flexible then standard cables due to their design requirements. Would recommend them if you need to run cables outside or direct bury them in the ground with the added bonus of future proofing the installation.
