Muse: Awakenings | Artistic Party Game | Quick Simple Fun Games

Well, I'll say this: This game has a GORGEOUS box. The picture of lady liberty on the cover is absolutely worth buying the game for if you don't like the Muse box. Oh? You want to hear about what's INSIDE the box? Well...it's more Muse, just not quite as good basically.For starters, you have new, more complicated rules for inspiration cards that use points instead of a normal card value (harder cards worth more points). Then you have more Masterpiece cards that aren't QUITE as pretty as the ones included with Muse.So in a nutshell...buy Muse instead of this game if you have never played either. If you already own Muse and wish it had a prettier box and more Masterpiece cards, (and maybe some more complex rules to make the game harder) get this game in addition and then throw out the pretty cardboard insert in the box and put all the cards in the Awakenings Box.Just don't except the new content to be as good as the old...except for the box...which is better.

If you like Dixit, it's very similar, almost an expansion, if you ask me. Needs a minimum of four players. However, some people who like Dixit might be put off by the more charades, etc aspects of this game, more effort required than just sitting. The pictures are lovely, and could probably also be used to add some variation to your Dixit cards (and probably vice versa).

You really need this expansion as well as the original for maximum enjoyment. They both fit in one box, and I keep them both in the original Muse game box.

We love the game Dixit and this is a perfect group version. The art and game play are amazing!

This game is so fun and easy! I've played with kids as young as 5 and with my older parents. The art is beautiful and the game really encourages critical thinking.
