Not enough dogs were represented.
Overall it was a good book with nice pictures. However, not all popular dog breeds in the specific categories were represented. For example, there was no mention of shih-tsu dogs in the toy category.

Perfect to help introduce some nonfiction
My daughter is 7 and loves these books. She has 5 Eyewitness books now. She can't read very much of it yet but she loves to just sit and look through them. I read them to her as an alternative to fiction stories. Gotta get them reading nonfiction as well! The photos and content are excellent.

Disappointed
The book is called Dogs, and although it makes sense to include information about wolves, foxes etc. I was disappointed to find out that half the book is about them. A few pages would have been sufficient. I was expecting more about actual dogs. The dog sections seem to follow AKC standards and don't delve much into different breeds. I have read other books in this series and thoroughly enjoyed them but this one is a big let down.
