ORGANIX Organic Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Cat Food - 3 lb. Bag

Although my cats love this food, it has been out of stock everywhere now. I was happy to find it here, but twice I have ordered it, only to have my order cancelled both times, after waiting about 2 weeks...with no explanation as to why it was cancelled.

We have 3 rescues; now ten yrs old. Been on this flavor a long time. They still love it & seem really healthy. Ours prefer this over the chicken & sweet potato. On occasion we augment with same company’s salmon which is natural, not organic. They see that as a treat.Very small discs which I’d think older kittens could easily eat.We feed free food (always out for them to eat). Our vet recently said ours were the first cats with not one overweight. We’ve always allowed free eating so they’re never starved or competing for food. They just graze at their option. Has worked well. No wet food supplement. Only occasional ppl proteins & things one or more likes as in banana, avocado, melon, and various lean meats. These are treats, not meals.Recommend

My indoor kitten loves this food and he is a VERY picky cat on everything. This food came highly recommended by a friend who did extensive research on dry cat food and it held up to the expectations. I realize it’s definitely more expensive, but my vet’s office confirmed this product is a cleaner option as far as ingredients go. They also sell this at Pet Smart, which was helpful information when I tried to buy a bag last month on Amazon and none was available.

Very good high quality food WITH grain. Though cats are carnivores, small animals they eat are herbivore (eat grain like rice). I was a Certified Pet Nutrition Specialist and over the yrs. Trends have changed. This food my cat LOVES & he's picky about his dry. I trust the brand and quality!

My cats have happily eaten the Organix Grain Free Chicken & Potato Recipe Dry Cat Food for at many years, after a swtich from Newman's Own kibble. I purchased a 6-pound bag of this new recipe (made with sweet potatoes rather than regular potatoes) after mixing a trial, 3-pound bag of the same with what I had left of the old Organix recipe.The food in this bag is darker in color than either of the other two. My least-discriminating cat - the one who will eat just about anything (including what another cat vomits up after eating too quickly) - will not touch it. She even rejects her very favorite canned food when it is the same dish as this. My other two cats will eat it, but they seem to have trouble with it sticking to their teeth, spending a lot of time chewing and trying to dislodge it after each bite. I usually toss bits of kibble for each cat to chase before meals; after a few bites, they wouldn't even look at this. All three would just sit staring at me with identical, betrayed expressions.After a few of days with no progress toward accepting the new food, I decided to give the Newman's Own kibble a try again. All three cats are so much happier! They chase the Newman's very enthusiastically, and will quickly polish it off from their dishes. I am once again their favorite human. Too bad I had to waste $30 on this.

I've read reviews prior to giving this product a chance, and I noticed that some kittens just wouldn't eat this product. The first time I tired giving it to my kitten, I found out that this would the case. The fact that the ingredients are good and the product is organic is great, but it doesn't do any good if your kitty doesn't want to ouch it. I am trying to mix small amounts of it with another kitten food and it seems to be working, but not sure we'll be able to fully transition. Unfortunately.

My cat is old 16 and on wet food only no teeth BUT this is the BEST quality ingredients in a dry cat foods I have found even though it has the elusive natural flavoring aka msg. He does not favor eating it as I totally moisten it with water so that he can but I need a dry food back up in the event that there is a supply interrupt or that I cannot get home which happened recently and he did when faced with no food left over night ate the bowl of moistened dry organix.

My cat loves this food and I’m glad he does because I will pretty much only allow him to eat organic food. We also feed him the wet organic food from this company and then also give him human organic food, like eggs, chicken, milk, etc. specially made just for him. If I won’t eat food with chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, GMO’s, etc., neither will my kitty.
