When it works, it is Amazing! Take a chance however.... 5 Stars or 0 Stars
This is a great invention. I don't know how it works, but using it is easy and fast. Amazing device threads needles with the simple push of a button. We bought this one to replace one that we had for many years and had finally stopped working. We would highly recommend getting one.However...Some of our friends had one and it either stopped working right away or didn't even work from the start. Apparently there is a quality control issue at the factory that needs fixing. When this works, it is amazing and wonderful. When it doesn't work, it is garbage. That is why I gave it a strange star rating. We even inherited a couple that didn't work from our friends, and we couldn't get them to work either. When it works, it works with just a push of a button after all.My suggestion is to get one. Use it a bunch right away and be prepared to return it immediately if it gives you any problems at all. We have loved our original one and it gave years of service. The new one is doing fine so far, knock on wood.A terrific device that is easy to use, so it is 5 stars when you get one that works. But if you don't want to take the risk of possibly having to send it back, don't buy it. It is "0" stars when you get one that doesn't work or dies quickly. Great when it works. But it is garbage when it doesn't. (It seems to be one or the other. Where it works all the time or never.)I am hoping my husband can break open one of the “bad” ones our friend gave us, to see if it can be fixed or he can figure out why it doesn't work. Things like this are often caused by one simple part that was made too cheap or poorly designed. We hope to find out.

Works best with Clover needles
I was disappointed when I first tried it as it would not work. Then i read where you have to use Clover Brand needles. I bought a pack, and sure enough, it works as stated.

Works most of the time.
The unit is persnickity about getting the thread just right before it threads the needle. Looks to me like a better fit with deeper grooves for the thread to fit in would be helpful. That said. I will have one always!

Desk needle threader
I bought this for my embroidery needles......you can't use it for embroidery needles. I did not send it back because I can put it in a raffle basket for our Quilt show. I watched another girl use one like it and it worked like a charm.....but she was sewing. I just never thought about it.

Take Reenforce wires by dabbing E6000 glue on the spot the wires are crimped.
**Another note: if the eye of the needle is not facing the direction of the thread it will not thread the needle and large eyed needles will not fit inside the needle opening. It has worked well if I remember and check that the needle is facing the right direction. For embroidery Floss and large eyed needles I use the silver threaders. I reenforced the wires by putting E6000 glue on the spot the wires are crimpt on the tab. Still when you are using it to thread a needle if after running the thread or floss into the wires slide the needle to the end of the wires then grasp the wires behind the needle and pull thread through the eye. I have a silver tab one I have used it for a couple of projects and it's still going. If you only pull on the silver tab and not the wires the wires will come out of the crimped part probably the first time. To me they were useless until I glued the wires and pull the thread through by grasping the wires instead of silver tab. Hope this helps someone. Very excited to get this threader. I can't seem to do that any more. Even with the little silver ones. The first time I tried it it worked great. But after that I couldn't get it to thread any thing. I tried numerous needles and different types of thread. You cannot use large eyed needles. Finally after numerous attempts I finally got it to start threading again. I tried to line the eye up in a forward position and after depressing the arm I would pull up on the needle to see if it caught it. If the needle comes out the needle wasn't caught. So I tried again checking to see if the needle was caught and when the needle was caught it would thread the needle. Still love it. I would buy it again. Just practice getting the needle caught in the threader.

Works with Bohin needles
This needle threader works with only one kind of hole. A big learning curve. Who knew ? That’s why some needle threaders won’t work with your needles. Inside the package was the directions which explained that with a diagram

Excellent for hand quilting
this is brilliant...but only for certain sized quilting needles so be warned it is not a general purpose threader. However with the right needles it is fantastic, snapping the thread through the tiny hole, and with a handy thread cutter. Expensive for the quality, my last one broke, but a must if you are hand quilting and have poor eyesight!

Useless
The first time I used it I wondered what all the fuss was about with other reviews saying it did not work. It worked perfectly and was very easy to use. However that was it. It only worked the once and despite my best efforts and many many attempts it never worked again. It seemed that the spring mechanism could t work again. So back it went. Amazon as always make the returns process so easy.

Works as it should
Have been looking for a while for a threader which would take away the misery of threading the very small eyed needles for my patchwork. This does the job beautifully. It does say on the instructions that it's only for oval eyed needles and that the whole process described should be done gently. So far, having followed these instructions, I now have less frustration and time to continue my sewing.

Don't bother .
I was eagerly waiting for this needle threaded but was very disappointed when it arrived. It doesn't work! Fortunately. BIC, the supplier have promised a full refund.

Disappointed
This must be the only Clover product which has disappointed. I use 50wt cotton threads and fairly small eyed needles for English Paper piecing. I had hoped to bulk thread up about ten needles for each sewing session. It doesn’t work. The pin which pushes the thread through won’t push through the eye of the needles... it does work with the large eyed embroidery needles hence the three stars, but given those needles are easy to thread anyway, I call this a fail.
