neatly laid out into chapters of relevance, nicely illustrated with big glossy photos, nothing squeamish or dark, so dont panic ... just a very well informed, neatly put together and concise encyclopaedia. If your looking for spells.. forget it.If your looking for a clear concise history , explanations, and theories for different forms of magical beliefs etc, then this is your book. At best, it will inform and educate you , at worst... it will make the vicars wife leave her hobnobs and go screaming off over the hills.. before shes even looked at it properly ;)

This book was great, it covered a wide range of topics and i feel that it went into enough detail on each subject for me to have gained a good basic understanding. Not ideal for someone who already knows the basics though.

Not what I was expecting. Totally let down. If your wanting a history lesson ? Buy this book. If your wanting to learn how to be a witch?? Just keep on walking , and pass this book.😊
