This is a miracle tool for grouting stone and concrete
The media could not be loaded. This tool showed up and it was nothing less than a miracle. It was clean, easy and quick to lay down exactly the amount of grout we needed for our project. Loading and clean up was a breeze. Why didn't we buy this a long time ago? You need this, I promise.

Absolute joke
While in theory this should work, the actual product was a complete joke. Could not develop suction to even draw water. Adjusted the plunger to expand the seal, no luck. Then measured the tube and it was determined that it was completely out of round. Read all the positive and negative reviews. Guess if your lucky to get one properly made, it may work. Mine is in the trash. Surprised Amazon would even allow this to be sold on their site.

Good for small jobs.
It says that the piston stops the water from flowing out...well unfortunately as you push to get the grout/cement out...water ends up coming out where the nozzle attaches to the yellow part. This causes the grout to dry up and clogs up the nozzle...making you have to dump and reload. I am returning and buying the gun version and hoping that will work better...it is more money but time is money and this option would have served me well if i was only doing a small area but i have to grout and point about 1000sq feet of stone work.

Better Than Nothing
I purchased this unit to pump grout into the open space between a new shower pan and the existing bathroom floor. I should have filled the area with mortar or grout before installing the shower pan, but missed that step during the shower installation. I drilled several ¾” holes from the basement through the subfloor into the open space under the shower pan. The grout needed to be mixed to a “non-runny” consistency to avoid leaking through the subfloor and running out through the fill holes.Although the unit is labeled as a “Grouting Gun”, and is designed like a huge hypodermic, with plastic tube, plunger, and nozzle, I was unable to suck up the mixed grout through the nozzle to fill the tube. No amount of muscle or colorful language would allow me to pull grout from the mixing bucket into the empty "Grout Pump" tube. The only way grout could be loaded into the tube was to fashion a large funnel from a 2’ x 4’ piece of thick plastic sheet and Duct Tape, unscrew the nozzle on the grout pump, clean the plastic tube and plastic nozzle threads, fill the tube with grout by pouring it into the empty tube through the makeshift funnel, and then screwing the nozzle back onto the tube. This was a three person job, with one person mixing the grout, the second person holding the empty tube and funnel in position, and the third person pouring the grout into the funnel. Keeping the plastic threads clean on the nozzle and tube so the nozzle could be screwed back on each time was a major task. The job was pretty exhausting, but it worked.Even though we finally figured out how to use the “grout pump” to fill the void under the shower pan, I rated it two stars and titled this review “Better Than Nothing”. There were no instructions or information provided to advise that the pump needed to be disassembled, cleaned, and manually filled through a large funnel each time if the grout was mixed any thicker than the consistency of a milkshake.

A Gimmick
Doesn’t work. If it did, Home Depot would sell it. Don’t waste your money.
