After a year long battle of numerous symptoms the final straw came when I bought my first testing kit as for type 2 diabetes in Scotland you are not entitled to a free one unlike England . So with my results I got blood tests done yes as I had suspected I'm type 2 started medication on the 12th june 2020 I'm feeling brilliant . Now if I did not have this testing kit I would proberly be sitting with my leg amputated it had been sore for a year but got much worse at the end big holes and sores that was not healing but spreading getting worse when my nurse first came she took lots of pics . Yesterday she came in again she was shocked as it has all but smell part healed up and I've lots of energy . These kits as in my case are life saving and I am truly grateful to amazon for saving my life

My wife is diabetic and with all the fuss around Covid was given the wrong test strips for her diabetic machine. I checked you know where (here!) and found a cheap machine with cheap strips. I ordered them straight away and they came a few days later.Not in time to pull her out but ready for the next time that there is a shortage. My wife needs these for driving purposes - if she had an accident and they found that she hadnt checked her sugar levels before driving her insurance would not cover her.Dont get me wrong, the health service in the UK is great and doing a difficult job under the current circumstances (COVID) but I would like for her to be left high and dry like that again for the sake of £20.Handy to have - in the drawer till such a time - much recommended.

My husband needed to test more regularly so bought this. It is a little tricky to get the blood but you do only need a little bit. As it has it's own case it is really easy to keep everything together

The instructions are not clearly written for people who have never used one before.As I can't get tested any other way I don't know if its accurate or not.It seems to be well made for the price and I chose this one as the batteries are AA therefore easy to replace.

I've been feeling horrible lately and going to see a doctor where I live is more hassle than its worth sometimes. I decided to test my sugar levels incase that was the issue. First time I used it I didnt really follow the instructions I mean how hard can it be and it came out at 1.7mmo/l which is scary low so I panicked and ate some sweets. Checked again 10 minutes later and it was over 8 mmo/l. Since then it's been steady at 4-6 so I think I'm ok.It seems to work well (when you do it right).Very good value for money if your concerned about your blood sugars.Guess it's the doctors after all for me to see whats going on.

This meter gives the feeling of quality and seems to give consistent readings. I can't comment on accuracy as I have no reference. Apart from needing better user instructions, I have confidence in it so far. It's easy to read, the lance is very effective and low pain and with 50 test strips, is good value.Impressed so far.

As a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic I decided I would buy a monitor to understand my condition better. There are plenty available on Amazon but this seems to be a good balance of price and convenience. Very simple to test your blood sugar, simple finger prick with the included lancet and then one small drop of blood on the test strip in the machine. Read out in 5 seconds. Data seems accurate and consistent. Comes with a small carry case too which is a nice discreet way of taking your meter, strips and lancets around with you.
