You get what you paid for.
Totally worth the money. Comfy. Low profile. Effective. Saved my butt, tailbone, and hips. Not cheap, but way cheaper than a trip to the chiropractor. Very stretchy (hopefully durable).

Not just for athletes
The media could not be loaded. Excellent hip protection. Can easily wear under clothes. I have Parkinsons disease and,I fall. I feel much more confident now. I also got a pair for my elderly father. They are the the thinest most comfortable impact shorts that I can find.I also bought my 81 yesr old father a pair. He prefers these over the shock doctors as they are easier to goto the bathroom .

Amazing
They are really amazing. Light weight, not bulky at all. It looked like they were going to do nothing for you but you never feel pain when you fall when snowboarding anymore with them on. Fantastic!

stoked
I had been using another brand with big, bulky foam padding for the past month or so. Didn't like how it restricted my movement and though I am sure I was protected some when I fell, I could never be sure that the foam was only nominally effective. But yesterday I went out with my new, upgraded Burton shorts, fell on my ass on the ice, and what would normally have been a bummed out coccyx felt way more protected. The technology is pretty incredible in that the padding is flexible and thin but becomes armor upon impact. I don't expect it will protect me like a boy in a bubble or anything. I mean, it can only do so much. But what it does has really impressed me.

Hot
Way over priced. The $9.95 look alike has at least comparable material and pads seem to be the unbranded, same material

Good product, very comfortable
Saved my tailbone on a hellacious fall. I bruised it but I think I would have had a fracture or much worse bruise without it. These are very thin and comfortable, I forgot I was wearing them. If you can tolerate wearing thicker pads you may want to consider them but I'll stay with these.

Good low profile protection
I have another pair of thick padded crash shorts but i wanted something more low profile to fit under my pants. These are a nice in between from the super thick padded ones and nothing at all. All the people complaining saying they fell on their but a lot and it didn’t prevent them from hurting. Well duh. Its meant to prevent you from breaking your tailbone, which it will. But if you fall hard on your butt its still going to hurt. If you’re okay with that and just want some added low profile protection then these are perfect. If you’re falling a lot or want some serious protection then you should buy the super thick padded ones. I rate these 4 stars because they are way overpriced.

Safety First
I bought this for my gf who was first learning snowboarding. She landed very hard on her tail bone and was able to get up and ride it off. Thankfully my brother is small also so he uses it in the park and just the sense of security knowing your are protected has helped him with his tricks a ton. would recommend this item for anyone looking to learn snowboarding or start to advance into the terrain park 100%.

Works like a wonder
Felt a bit tight at first, but after a few wears it hugs to your body shape and is the most comfortable short ive ever worn. It might seem a bit pricey, but it works like a wonder and has saved my butt and thighs many times over. If you are hesitating, just buy it!

Low profile and useful
I don’t really feel it when I wear it for a whole day, even when driving and setting down. It is thin enough that I can ignore it. But when I fall when snowboarding, it literally saved my bottom. It protects the sides and the bottom, not really 45 degrees. So you are aware of.

Comfortable and decent fit and finish
Soft to touch, very comfortable and don't notice it on. Intentional smacks and forces against the protective padding did diminish the blunt impact. Would not hesitate to wear it for skiing and biking activities. Satisfied with Burton product and Amazon service.

Stealth protection!
These work great under jeans for my BMX biking. Have not had a hard crash yet but falling on my butt from standing doesn't hurt.Once I am moving, I forget I am wearing them, I have to sit on a hard surface to realize I am still wearing them.
