coarse
pay attention to the grit number...these are extremely coarse...good for filing nails off a few inches or perhaps breaking out of jail. not for dainty buff-ups!

These are just GREAT!
Finally; I have found Emory boards that will last longer than a single use only for my natural nails! As a matter of fact I expect that these Emery boards will last a very long time..... They seem to me to be what disposable Emery boards USED to be like..... except maybe even better!I am extremely happy with this purchase!

Rougher than a typical nail file
I use a lot of nail files because I wear press-on nails and filing them is a big part of making sure they are natural looking. I wanted to buy in bulk so I could keep one in my purse, my car, my bathroom, my office, by the bed, etc. These seemed perfect but for the first time in a long time, I didn't even read a single review first. I wish I had. These files are rough. Even though there are two sides, neither side is a fine enough grain to use on my thinner natural nails. They will work fine for my fake nails but I'll have to use something else when I prep my natural nails. I know the grit is noted in the listing but if you aren't a sandpaper or nail file expert then the grit doesn't actually mean much to a casual consumer. I feel like these are perfect for anyone who files down a lot of acrylics and needs that extra tough grit.I actually think these would work for small woodworking projects or smoothing down epoxy or something. I checked and I have several pieces of actual sandpaper that are a finer grit, if that says anything. Actually, I'll just use sandpaper for my natural nails.I definitely have a lifetime supply of nail files now because the rougher grit will take much longer to wear out. So I guess that is a bonus. So 4 stars because the files are exactly as described despite my lack of research but 1 star for not making a bigger grit difference between the two sides.

Excellent quality nail files highly recommended.
These are good quality files and are absolutely washable. Just rinse off with warm water, shake excess water off and air dry. The next day they look like new. I would definitely buy again.

Great!
These files are exactly what you would hope for. the grit is perfect. And for the price and the amount of files and the large size I'll be using these forever. I love that they're washable.. and they're thick. I couldn't see me breaking one of them on accident

Good Quality and Effective
They are super sturdy, file nicely, and don't fall apart or feel sticky (somehow managed to get a set that did at some point). Would highly recommend these.

Good files, but 100 was too rough
This set of files is decent quality and feels like it will last as long as any I've bought in stores. Unfortunately, 100 grit is much too coarse for my nails and won't be useful. As a precaution, I purchased a different pack along with this one and the grit was 180/240 on those and they were perfect.

Glad I ordered these.
If you wear your natural nails, you are aware that the nails on your prominent hand change shape due to wear, faster than those on your other hand. If not properly smoothed, they are prone to chipping or tearing. Carrying these emory boards makes keeping hands attractive much easier. I gifted a few here and there to friends. All mentioned how fine the grit is and the firm boards are easy to use. The only "improvement" I can imagine is that when you buy this number of boards, a proper sized carrying case could come with this package. I will buy these again.
