Kira Home Hewitt 9" 1-Light Modern Wall Light/Wall Sconce + Oval White Fabric Shade, Chrome Finish

We had a dark corner in our family room where a wall sconce would work well, but it needed to not protrude from the wall very far—I chose this one because the size seemed right, and I have been very happy with it! It needs to be installed “hard wired” (the electrical wiring behind the wall and a switch installed onto the wall to operate it). It does NOT have a knob or on/off button and it does NOT plug into an existing wall outlet. I am a grandma but do have some electrical skills—I was able to run a new electrical wire behind the wall from an existing electrical outlet, to a wall light switch that I installed and then to this light. I had no difficulty installing it—but unless you have those types of electrical skills, this is a job for a professional electrician. This light does not come with bulbs. Since I wanted this area of the room to be as bright as possible, I separately purchased LED bulbs in size A19, 1500 lumens (bright!), 15 watts, in 4000k (kelvin) which is a cool daylight hue. This size of bulb is working perfectly—these bulbs do not stick up above the top of the lamp shade. Also, some OTHER lamp shades are so dense that they tend to block too much of the light from the bulbs—not so with this lamp. It’s bight and beautiful. It’s also a great neutral color to match any room. The brushed nickel finish is just the right combination of modern/classy.I am VERY happy with this wall lamp and highly recommend it!I write honest reviews to help others make informed purchases because I read reviews myself and appreciate how helpful they can be. These lights are exactly what I was looking for. I bought a home which had outdated lights in the living room and I was struggling to find something I liked. I tried another style from another company and it just didn't look or feel feel right. Those lights were about 1/3 the price and it showed. They just felt cheap and didn't fit the room.When I received these lights however, wow was I pleasantly surprised. Not only do they look fantastic, they have a quality feel to them.The only negative comment I have about them is related to the mounting bracket. I've seen better designs out there that make installation a breeze. This circular bracket included with these lights does have multiple slots available for the screws that hold the bracket into the electrical box, however, unless I'm doing something wrong, it made it difficult to place the posts that the light fixture attaches to. I had to poke small holes in the drywall on either side of the electrical box in order to get the bracket to work.That complaint aside, I'm thoroughly pleased with these lights and will be checking out other styles this company has to offer as I remodel the other rooms in my home*** UPDATE 8/21/2019 ***While installing the 4th and final light fixture, I noticed some extra glue at the front seam of the shade that was one of those things that wasn't immediately obvious but once I noticed it, it bothered me. I contacted the seller and after sending pictures to her, at my request, she sent me a new shade which looks great...no blemishes. I am really enjoying the way these lights look and they provide so much light - it's great.I haven't moved on to other rooms in my house but as I said previously, I'll be checking out other lights this company has to offer for sure.

This light was prefect for what I was looking for. It accepts 2 light bulbs which is great if you want to really brighten up an area. My wall didn't have lower so what I did was retrofit the Romex and essential plug it in nearest wall and using a wireless on/off lamp switch to control it. The shade is white and you do see a pattern when it's lit up (see pic). Am using (2) 60 watt equivalent 6000k led bulb in these pictures. I love these lights. Came out great. Also if you are ocd the actual metal portion that hold the bulbs can be swiveled easily so you can adjust it to lay perfectly 180 degrees.

I would have loved to have kept it but it has a warning label from the state of Cali stating that the chemicals in the product might cause cancer. As soon as I saw that I packaged the product up immediately and I'm sending it back. No product is worth any hazard.

I hated the old light fixture at the top of our attic stairs. This is the perfect replacement because it’s up, out of the way so nobody bumps their head on it. Still need to repaint the wall behind it, but this looks 100% better than before. Easy to install and puts out great light.

Did a lot of looking before buying. These are very nice and have 10 of these hooked up to dimmers. All work great and am very happy with my purchase. I get compliments all the time and how nice they look.

The quality is on par with anything from Lowe's or home Depot. it's the perfect style I was looking for and installed just as easily as any other sconce. I needed it to be switched, so I installed a pull chain on the body of it as well, although it doesn't come with a switch.I couldn't find this style in stores, I'm happy with the purchase.
