Gilad: The 60 & 30 Minute Low Impact Workouts

Great for small spaces
I wanted a low-impact aerobics session that lasted about 30 minutes, didn't need a lot of room to do, didn't involve any floor work, and wasn't too demanding for my age (I'm a 70-year-old woman.)I wasn't likely to find all these things in one dvd, but this one comes close. The exercises are performed on a beach on round mats that look to be about 3 feet in diameter. I don't have much space in the room our dvd player is in, but the 3-foot configuration works well.There are two separate sessions. The warm up for the 30-minute session is 10 minutes long. I use this warm-up and then switch to the 60-minute session and do the aerobic section from that - this section is 22 minutes long. A total of 32 minutes is close enough to 30 minutes. I can do everything on the tape except a movement at the end of the 22-minute session that requires you to pick up your foot and balance on one leg - for this I just stretch one leg back and put my full weight on it.It probably isn't good to skip the floor exercises but something is better than nothing. I think it's really a good choice if you have limited space.

Doesn't Mirror Viewer's Steps, Has a Few Hops
This is a very good low impact workout. I do have three suggestions or issues that could have made in even better.1. There are a couple of areas that have a slight hop in them. Although it is easy to perform these without the hop, a hop is not low impact.2. It would be easier for the viewer to follow if we were mirroring the steps. If Gilad and his team were performing these such that, when he says left foot, he is actually using his right foot and the exerciser is using his/her left foot, we could follow it easier. Mirroring. Or, just not specify left or right in the audio portion of the routine and let us mirror.3. It would also be helpful to take a couple of half minute breaks to allow us to take our pulses to make sure we are not overworking ourselves.Other than these, it is a fantastic routine.

If you truely want to lose weight and tone your entire body "you" can work with any of Gilad's DVD'S. Years ago I went from a size 15 to a size 8 ( and was not even expecting to get that small) in 3 months time working out 1 hour a day in my own home!!! I have had a knee injury and could not walk for 3 years..have gained alot of weight but the first person I thought of to help me lose weight is Gilad..I have 3 of his DVD'S from his classic collection (if they helped me lose weight the first time, they will again). Already I have gone down 1 size and have only been excerising for about 2 weeks. As one person wrote in their review "if you can overlook the outdated excerise outfits" you can lose the weight!! And I want all the people out there who say they are physical unable to go by his dvd's I have cerebral palsy on my right side..some movements I cannot do but I always come back and walk in place as Gilad will tell you to do if you cannot keep up with him. Great Option
I really like this tape. I love Gilad and used to work out with him on fit tv. His routines are easy to follow and definitely get you moving and sweating. I did the 30 min workout a few times and thought it was great. It is really good for a 30 min pre-work routine. I was a litle intimidated by a 60 min aerobic video but I decided to try it on my day off and was amazed that I could make it all the way through. Only about 20 minutes of this tape is aerobics. The arm and ab exercises are great. I can feel every single muscle in my stomach. Had trouble with some of the floor work. Apparently my thighs are very weak. Lol. But I know I'll get better each day. Gilad is funny and he made the workout very enjoyable. Looking forward to waking up extra early tomorrow so I can do the long routine before work.

Many years ago I was in my best shape ever because I used to workout with Gilad every week day doing the tv series early morning. Recently I had retired and found myself getting out of shape. I ordered the 60&30 minute workout dvd, and got right back into the Gilad workout. At first I only used the 30 minute workout, and trust me, at first it seemed hard to do. But after a week or so of that, I felt I needed more and advance myself to the 60 minute workout. It was a killer for me at first. I now switch from the 30 minute three times a week, with the 1 hour work out twice a week. I am really in much better shape and have a lot more energy. Like Gilad says, one step at a time gets us to the top of the mountain. I love Gilad!!

a very easy workout
i was looking for another aerobics workout from gilad to complement beginners weight loss and toning program dvd, and i hit pay dirt. this dvd is very easy to do, and you will sweat!! gilad is your workout partner in this dvd and he encourges you! i should of bought this dvd before i bought beginners dvd. plus there is an ab and lower body workout also. gilad, greg smithey and tamilee webb, before she left the buns of steel series are my workout instructors.i highly recommend this dvd before you buy gilad's beginner weight loss dvd. this dvd eases you into aerobics with a 30 minute and a 60 minute aerobic/cardio workout.

Great Workout of Aerobics and Floor Work
This is another great DVD by Gilad. The surprise here was there is as much floor work as aerobic - I love it. It is challenging, (I am 56 but on a mission to get fit), but it is also really do-able. Somehow Gilad mixes work with fun.

Love the low impact.
I lost a lot of weight with this low impact video. It really works. I needed it when I got arthritis in my knees and hips. Start with the 30 min one. After a few months when you are used to it you can go on to the 60 min video if you like, or find another type of exercise to do for a few months then come back to this one. If you change up your routine, your body will improve faster.

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE WORK OUTS
i used to own this on VHS! I loved it. When I saw it available on Amazon, I had to have it again. It stands the test of time. So far I have only done the 30 minute work out. I really like it because he breaks the work out into segments, which helps from getting bored. The segments are broken down into warm up, low impact aerobic, floor exercises and stretches. The exercises are sensible and would meet today's standards. The 30 minute work out is perfect for a beginner. The next one is 60 minutes long, so quite a bit harder. He doesn't talk to much, but instructs about the exercises. There is background music that is generic. The video is tapes in a Hawaiian setting.
