Who knew salvation came in the form of a replacement blade for Felco pruning shears? After months of hacking at branches with my dull original blade like I was in a sword fight with a baguette, I finally gave up trying to "sharpen" it myself (aka lightly rubbing it on a rock and whispering motivational quotes). Enter this beautiful, factory-sharp blade — it slid in smoother than a gossip at a garden party and cut cleaner than my therapist's advice. Honestly, trying to sharpen the old blade felt like giving a CPR lesson to a spoon. Just buy the new one. Save yourself the shame and several twigs’ lives. Your plants (and your ego) will thank you! Back when I was wealthy I bought a number 2 Felco pruner. It's served me well the sixteen or so years that I've had it. When I got married, my wife brought her number 8 with her and didn't quite give it the care I tend to give my tools. Yes, I can be a bit extra particular about keeping them clean and in good condition. But nonetheless it was used once or twice for cutting wire, and perhaps left out in the rain, and consequently it ended up badly chewed up and rusty, much to my dismay. When I found that I could replace the blade I was happy and relieved. It saved a great chunk of money as well as saving a perfectly good tool. After thoroughly cleaning it up and replacing the blade, the pruner is functionally as good as new. Very conveniently, the replacement blade came with clear instructions on how to replace the old blade with the new. I love the design of the pruner, and now that I've taken it apart and put in a new blade, I appreciate it even more. I love how cleverly the blade fits. (The holes in the blade fit over the pegs with all the precision of the finest Swiss craftsmanship!) The replacement is every bit as solidly in place as the original, and there's no give between it and the handle to which it's attached. It's as though they're one piece. My remark at the beginning about the price of the pruner aside, I consider these tools to be worth every penny. I'd save to buy a replacement should I have to even though I'm not quite as stinking rich as I used to be. It's always better to have the right tool for the job, and these Felco pruners have been my favourite to date.

I sharpened the old blade so many times that I needed a new on. This was just the right one for the tool I was looking to repair. Works Great Again nice new blade for the bypass cutters. Now wife is happy with new blade and flower trimming is a easy job again. I would buy this one again.

Authentic part and takes only a couple minutes to install. Diagram on package shows the process otherwise you can find videos online on how to do it. Makes a quality and reliable tool like new again!

Correct #7 Felco blade arrived quickly, but without any packaging--just a loose blade wrapped in bubble wrap in a small envelope (with a business card). Looks new and works fine.

My mother passed away and I was about to toss out her very old Felco 8 pruning sheers. I'm so glad I Googled how to restore them instead! I watched a YouTube video on how to disassemble it (so easy!), then I soaked all the parts overnight in pure white vinegar. All the rust came off! I found this replacement blade on Amazon, and also got the Felco 980 spray and 990 grease, and put it all back together. They look brand new and are crazy sharp again! Now I can think of my mom in her garden while I'm tending to mine. And it didn't cost me $62 to replace the whole thing on Amazon (in 2025). Thank you for selling just the replacement blade. Cheers!

Grea Felco product which I se as replacement blades for secatures

Over 30 years ago I was told by a professional gardener to buy Felco secateurs and that I wouldn't regret it ... how right he was. If you watch any gardening program you will always see Felco on there and for all the right reasons too. At the time I bought the Felco 7 version (there are loads of versions to choose from now) and they have never let me down in all those years. I decided that I should buy a few spares, 'just in case', and the Anvil Blade and Cutting Blade are the obvious two to buy, as they are at the 'working end'. These secateurs are easy to dismantle and keep sharp (TIP : Don't overdo the sharpening though as they will keep their edge for ages !) and I for one will never look anywhere else for secateurs. 5 Stars all day long from me !
