AR T-Rex Dinosaur Virtual Pet, Green

Constantly resets itself unusable very disappointed my son wanted this for Easter and now we have to go find something different. Not worth 25$ don’t waste your money!

I had to send the first one I ordered back. Upon opening the package, I turned the game on and it would only stay on a couple of seconds and then switched right back off. I thought surely the problem was with the battery, but it still responded the same way even after the battery was changed. Sent the first back and got a replacement. The second works for an hour or two at a time, then will suddenly reset and I have to reset the time, rename the pet, and start all over. Sending back once again for a replacement and crossing my fingers that we get one that is not a dud, as my son really likes playing with this pet when it works.

This takes me back to my childhood. Bought it for a friend’s kid and he loved it so much! He wanted a real animal as a pet and I thought of the Tomagatchis or Giga Pets. Heard he even wakes up at night to check on his dino to see if it’s ok. Also got the unicorn for myself. Super cute and fun! I totally recommend this to all age groups.

I bought T-Rex for my 9 year old son. He loves it. He cares for his dino as if it was a real pet. Takes it to school with him clipped to his back pack. What a great toy!

This Giga Pet was fun but after two weeks it quit working. It would reset itself several times a day and made clicking noises even during the middle of the night. I returned this item.

I got 3 of these for my older kids. The dog and unicorn ones have worked fine, but I'm returning my second dinosaur one currently. Both devices glitch and blink repeatedly and did so immediately upon opening the package, so I know it's a manufacturing defect and not mishandling. I wonder if it's a problem with the dinosaur version. I'm hoping this third replacement will be the last and will work properly. Otherwise happy with the toy.

Only lasted one day, I used the battery on my tamagotchi and it works fine, it won’t turn on with battery replacement nor pressing reset.Update: I have received a replacement and now it works perfectly!
