Metra 70-2102 Radio Wiring Harness for GM 04-05, Extra Large

Perfect fit for 2004 Saturn Vue. I was hesitant at first as there are 2 harnesses as pointed out in the Metra site, but this works and fits perfectly. Used this to add aftermarket stereo.

The wiring diagram with this adapter made it easy to figure out which wires to connect to on the new JVC radio I installed. I soldered and taped each wire, but solderless crimp connectors would work just as well. This adapter connected perfectly with the 2005 Saturn Ion's existing connector.

Easy to follow directions included for a Easy installation.

Works perfectly! Just do not use the illumination wire if you have a screen on your stereo!

It came down to this wiring harness the 70-2102, and the 70-2002. If you have a base model Ion or a model that did not come with the 6 speaker premium audio system this is the wiring harness for you. If you have the Red-Line edition or had the premium audio system installed when purchased you will need the 70-2002. For my Ion I have the level 2 model that has the door speakers in the front, the 6x9s in the trunk and tweeters in the pillars, the tweeters do not count as speakers for whatever reason, this is why it took a little research to figure out what I needed. I hope this review helps anyone decided which harness they need.

It gets the job done. My tweeters don't work and neither does my driver side speaker. It said it was compatible with the 04 Saturn Vue Redline, but it didn't.

I used this for my Saturn Ion to install a Double-Din Pioneer stereo. The installation was simple, and much cheaper than the local car stereo shops. Definitely a great deal!

Glad I took the advice of reviewers that said this is the correct harness for my 2005 Saturn Vue not the one that Metra specs.I checked all the connections against the Haynes manual wiring diagram to be sure.For those that are wondering the radios orange with white tracer illumination wire connects to the solid orange which is the exterior parking lights. This is the correct connection to make the display on my Pioneer AVH 291 BT dim at night when the lights come on.Works great. Makes for easy install unless you over think it like I did.

After having issues locally finding correct harness, this finally came in and worked perfectly in my dad's 05 Saturn ion

Fits the OEM 05 saturn ion stereo plug perfectly. Went in without any issues.

This connected fast with no colour coding issues. The plastic is a bit flimsy but once installed, it will never move again so it should easily to the trick. Installed perfectly on 2004 Saturn Ion Quad Coupe 3 with 4 speakers.

Simple to use, though it had an extra cord that our deck did not.
