Brilliant product

We bought these child locks to prevent our little one from accessing cupboards with sliding doors that are just at his height. They are very easy to install (even though the only instructions they come with are on the Amazon website, in German...) and work well on 2-door units, preventing both doors from opening with the installation of just one lock. However, the mechanism itself is not very sophisticated: you only have to push down the lock and it opens, as there is no clip/additional lock keeping it in place. If our little boy (age 13 months) pushes it down hard enough it will go. Once he works out the sequence of push lock down -> slide door open then we may well have to look for an alternative product. For the moment while he is still very little it works well but I'm not sure about the long-term. The problem is also that the cupboards in question are just at his height: if the cupboards were taller this wouldn't be a problem as we could then put the locks high enough that he couldn't reach them.

We have sliding wardrobes and after the puppy managed to get the door open and chew the heel off a pair of expensive shoes, we looked for some sort of locking device. Ordered these which came promptly. At first we thought they looked flimsy but boy they did the job. Both dog and cats cannot now slide the doors open and our clothes are safe from chewing of clawing. Easy to affix too. We have had them a while and they are still affixed to the doors. Highly recommend as there is now drilling or screws involved.

I wish I had bought this product before...my three year old has been getting into our wardrobe that has sliding doors. However, this has put a stop to it. It was easy to apply, the adhesive seems to be strong. I would recommend that you make sure that there is nothing in the way of the sliding door mechanism. Kind of tricky to test without fixing first, but I think you could use some cello-tape to hold it in place and see if the door opens and closes without issue.Once sorted, clean the surface, make sure it is dry and stick it on!One thing I would say is that you have "push" the mechanism down slightly to make sure that the lock engages or else the door will open easily. Takes a bit of getting used to, but be wary.

I picked these up as our rescue cat (3 year old ragdoll) worked out very quickly she could slide open our wardrobes, and we didn't want her getting trapped inside! They were really easy to fit, don't look too ugly, and they do the job perfectly!

Perfect for what we needed for sliding wardrobe doors in our son’s room. Really easy to install. Seems to be really strong and sturdy. Really easy to flip down so that you can open it. Would recommend for sliding doors

Very easy to apply, i use this to keep the sliding wardrobes closed because of dogs (not babies) and does the trick for them. I deducted 1 star for adhesion because it took a few tries to get it to stick to a wooden wardrobe, but could well have been me as it was quite fiddly to get the position right. They have not fallen off yet but have not been tested as they don't bashed/used a lot. Don't look that great on your furniture but all in all happy and does the job.

These little miracles have stopped my cheeky kitties opening the wardrobe doors and making cozy beds out of my clothes! I would definitely recommend them, even if my cats wouldn’t! :)
