VOBOOM Men's Slim Fit Herringbone Tweed Suits Vest Premium Wool Blend Waistcoat

I should preface this by saying my wife and I use the same Prime account (hers) and so our id is a bit misleading as I am a man. I bought a matching brown herringbone tweed vest and tie. They are as described and arrived in two days. I couldn't quite figure out what size to order, as I am ordinarily a size medium, but the size chart measurements suggested I get a large. I'm 5'11" 165 lbs and wear a size 43 regular suit jacket--42 is generally a bit tight and I swim in a 44. My shirt size is slim fit 16 x 34, and pant size is 34 waist 32 inseam. I would describe myself as having a slim to athletic build. I ordered a medium vest and it was tight--the measurements referenced in the size chart are therefore quite accurate--not that I believed them. I returned the medium and ordered a large with no hassles and received the large 2 days later. It fits perfectly. As others have mentioned, the lining sheds, so it needs to be rolled down with a lint roller. I will take mine to my cleaner to be pressed after shipping (it comes folded). It is exactly as pictured and listed and is very fun. The pockets come closed and will have to be opened if you want to use them. The tie comes pressed and neatly folded in a bag that keeps it from creasing so it does not need pressing. It's nothing fancy, but matches the vest, and so will serve it's purpose. My big plan is the wear the tie and vest as contrasting complements to a medium blue plaid suit I recently bought and that is still with my tailor. After trying both medium and large, I would say size large for a size 42 through 43--maybe an athletic 44 on the 43 side of 44. Medium for 40 to 42 on the 41 side of 42 (I am on the 42 side of 43, meaning if I buy a 43 suit off the rack, my tailor has to take it in a little). The quality is good and the material is the tweed I remember from when a 3 piece tweed suit was a required element of any well dressed man's wardrobe (admittedly a long time ago now), and should produce that kind of nostalgic reference in a modern setting. In any event it is well priced (I paid $39.99 with free Prime shipping for the vest) and at that a bargain. Recommended.

The colors pictured are much darker than the image leads you to believe. I purchased the "Army Green" and there is practically NO GREEN color to it. There is just a slight hue of green in the right light. Otherwise, it's a gray vest. This is a hard review to give, as I really like the quality. Nice material, classy buttons and design, but it's just not what is pictured.I buy a small in US Polo Assoc. and they are form fitting. I bought a small vest and it fits like a medium around the chest, but the back buckle adjusts for the slack in the waist when tightened to the maximum point.

Wow! My fiancé was in need of a good quality and affordable vest option for the wedding and the Voboom Men's Slim Fit Herringbone Tweed Suit vests were great! He's the professorial type with a penchant for tweed so this was right up his alley. I'll be honest, I was a little worried about ordering this product as it had no reviews but based on their other product's glowing reviews we decided to take a leap of faith on the vests. We ordered every single color to test them with different outfits (i.e. burgundy suit jacket, navy suit, etc.) and every single one of the vest colors were a lovely dark classic tweed hue that created this lovely rustic palate in any combination. I absolutely loved the Army Green for it's dark olive color. We originally planed to only keep one for the wedding, but because of their quality and price we decided to keep every one of the vests (barring the Khaki color due to the fact that neither of us were crazy about the yellow undertones). Oh! Also, we noticed that the sizing chart seemed oddly large in scale, but after having tried the S, M, and L, we realized the best fit was a S, and he typically wears a 38 in jacket size and usually picks M, but for whatever reason, these vests run a hair larger than usual.

It looks amazing. Great material, buttons, tweed front and back. The sizes are just way to small. Maybe this is an English 3x or something. I knew I was pushing it with the measurements because they were right at what my measurements are. I an 6' tall and currently 300lbs. My weight tends to be most noticeable in and around the belly. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone but I would suggest they account that they will need 2 inches extra in the chest and waist. The front is only about as long as the back so know that as well.Bummed this gorgeous vest didn't fit. But luckily this company has a great return policy. Now I go back out I to the world to begin my search for the perfect vest for a big guy yet again.

The fit and the quality of the fabric is great, but it leaves a lot of residue on the shirt, specially if it's a thicker fabric like ralph lauren's, so you have to either wash or heavily brush your shirt after taking off the vest.

I got many compliments on this vest when I wore it wore to a semi-casual event. I'm a 6'-4" broad shouldered/wide chest male with 34" waist so I had to go with the XXL. the XL might've fit but I didn't want to chance it. I just had to adjust the back quite a but to get it snug enough around the waist/obliques. I would get it drycleaned first however as it leaves a bunch of lent on whatever you wear underneath it.

Pro: It's quite snazzy, and my family thinks it's great.Con: It's stinky. Holy cow did it stink. Like, going into Harbor Freight in the tire section, stinky.I hung it out in the sun and wind for two days, and that didn't help at all.I washed it in a tub with body soap. The water become quite dark and vile. My hands absorbed the stink, and held it for over 18 hours despite repeated washings with dish soap. I let it soak in the tub over night. Then hung it out for 12 hours in the sun and wind. It got better, as in I can't smell it from across the room, but still a bit unpleasant. I've just soaked it down with cologne and hope that'll help some.I'd like to get another color, but I don't know that I want to catch a whiff of that EVER again.

Saw this and had an idea it would go well with jeans, my brown boots and a buttoned shirt to go down to my local. I've had a few complimentary comments the first time it was worn so box ticked. It feels smart and casual at the same time, hard to explain really. The quality is perfectly acceptable but don't make comparisons with waistcoats twice the cost from gentleman outfitters or online countrywear shops. Great fit and the fact that the back was also herring bone tweed design instead of the usual silky material appealed to me more. It also made it a more unique design and gave it a better quality feel. The only thing i would say as a slight negative is that it was difficult to find a shirt that matched and didn't clash. Really pleased overall.

I bought this as it had back in the same material as the front and is therefore a bit warmer than the usual lightweight back. The fit is excellent and the waistcoat is very comfortable. One point; go by the Amazon sizing; it is more accurate than the size shown in the illustration.

I have bought 3 of these in different colours. The quality is good although there were some stray cottons around the buttonholes on one of the waistcoats which did spoil the look of it a bit. Generally though, I am pleased with the quality, the fit and the overall look of them.

Really nice waistcoat, I'm going to look the dogs bollocks in it.

It's always been hard to find a waistcoat/vest in my size. This one fits perfect and seems a good quality as well.
