Amazing workshop tool!
My husband and I just started the adventures of woodworking together, and I must admit...I really don't know anything. I try to find the little things the internet says you need, but you really never realized you needed. Some of those finds turn out to be a godsend in the shop, and others - not so much. This little mouse however - amazing! I told my husband I bought him a sanding mouse and it was going to change his life. Like most husbands would, he raised an eyebrow like I was crazy and simply agreed. However, a few days later he asked where I got it from because it's so amazing he wanted to buy more. This little guy is great!! Sandpaper stays in place, the grip is fantastic, and there's no more cramped hands. If you don't already own one of these, do yourself a favor, spend a few bucks and give it a try. You'll love it!!

This is the sand block you want
Best way to hand-sand. Don't buy sheets and try to cut/fit them in blocks. Don't buy expensive pre-cut squares and attach. The circular pads for orbital sanders are mass-produced, cheap, very effective, available in all sorts of grits, and attach effortlessly to this block. They do not come off until you want them to, and then you just peel off and replace to satisfying sounds and textures. If you have an orbital sander with hook-and-fastener (i.e. velcro) attachment pads (or even if you don't), this beats all other blocks and saves money while you do it. I pair this with a soft 3M 05791 Hookit 6" Disc Hand Pad for when I want flexibility.

Great invention
These are a great invention, only received today and used briefly but I am already glad I bought two for different grits and may buy more. Excellent. I can’t say as much for the Postal Carrier who is too lazy to bring them tho the door and stuffed the ends of the package in the door of my locking mailbox with 2/3 of the package hanging out for the world to see. I have a locking mailbox because people steal the mail here. A lot. Mail person is aware of that. Lazy. Amazon should trust nothing to them, USPS is worthless for delivering anything other than junk mail. But I love the sanders, get you some of you hand sand anything.

It's just eh...
I was looking for a changeable sanding block. I ended up just gluing sanding paper to MDF boards cut down to size. If you don't have the right size disk (or don't want to use your more expensive disks on this, then you'll have the uncomfortable time of having the hooks digging into your hands. I don't think that was well thought out. Even when I put on my disks, there were still hooks poking me. Not comfortable. The yellow part is comfy and would reduce stress on fingers and wrists, but I just wasn't a fan.

Makes it so easy to change the paper.
I have several types of sanding blocks and all but this one are quite a pain to deal with. First I have to cut a sheet of sandpaper to fit the block, then struggle to get the old sheet off and the new on one correctly. With this block, I just peal off the old paper and put on a new one. It also means I only have to buy the round sanding sheets same as I use on my power sander and no more of flat rectangular sheets, although for some projects, I will probably still use my largest block that uses sheet paper because it covers so much more area at one time (nearly twice the size of this block).

Where have you been all my life?
I love it! No more fighting with sandpaper sheets, trying to cut them just right and then load them in a handheld block. Seems no matter what style clamps the block had, you never could get the tension just right. Too tight and the sandpaper would rip. Too loose and the edges would snag. Meanwhile, this block takes hook/loop discs perfectly. As a bonus, the sanding discs are a heavier material than just plain sandpaper, so they hold up much, much longer. I'm never going back...

Light weight. No longer need to buy different cuts of sandpaper. Perfect!
I wanted to design a sanding block that utilized 5" sanding discs. So I came to Amazon to see if anyone had made one yet. I found this little gem and decided to give it a go. Long story short, I no longer need to continue with my design. This little baby is awesome! It fits right in the palm of your hand. The 3 grooves allow you to control its movement easily. However, the best feature of this sanding block is the weight. Unlike other brands, this yellow "diamond in the rough" is so light weight that you may forget you're even using it. It really is like sanding with your just your hand except that your hand is now awesome! Click the Buy button. You will not be disappointed.

No more using a block of wood for small flat surfaces.
Just buy it. Yes...I know...it's for sanding. But it really does make things better because you no longer have to rip or bend small sheets of sandpaper to get the small flat surfaces. Just use your hook disc paper. I recommend buying a sand paper cleaner with this as well. I just use the cleaner on the paper I was using on my orbital and then pull it off and put it on this mouse. Finish things up easy.
