Of course sometimes the road is a bit more difficult and we have to overcome immense obstacles to get our heart's desire.This book is written for every woman and has many touching stories which brought me to tears. I loved the wise advice and the straight talk about various issues.There is a good section on how to raise a son to be a godly man.This book also gives women strength to fight the many spiritual battles they will have to endure.At times the book is a bit of a confessional as the author tells about her mistakes and struggles and how God worked through them to make her a better person, leader and speaker.What I liked at the end of each short chapter was the beautiful prayers to God and the beautiful letters from God and Jesus. Those letters were very calming and meaningful.By the time you have read through this whole book you will have become a better person, more equipped to deal with life as it is thrown at you. "Your Heart's Desire: 14 Truths that Will Forever Change the Way You Love and Are Loved" by Sheri Rose Shepherd is a self-help book about how to live with your marriage. Each chapter has a longer essay style section followed by a life coaching section, then prayer. Scripture is sprinkled throughout. There is also a small group Love Questions at the end of each chapter with a smart phone code that provides teaching videos to answer the questions. I liked this book, she didn't always take it in the direction that I thought she would. She kept it real and easy to follow. I recommend this book to any woman.

Sheri shares her own painful past and choices with the resultant consequences in order to show God's ability to heal and use pain for profit. Inspiration and motivation for any marriage relationship. This book helps to remind us that we sometimes get so caught up in the fantasy of love, and need to remember it is all about the Lord. It reminds us that no matter what we think about our husband, we must see him through God's eyes. It certainly made me stop and think how I react when I am disappointed in my relationship.

This book was just what I needed to get through a painful experience. The truths found in each chapter covered a wide range about what love truly is.

Sheri Rose Shepherd never disappoints! The truths in this book are simple, relevant, easy to grasp and take hold of and root in our hearts!!!! They are practice in nature and address issues every women faces! It is an easy read! I just got it, and it typically takes me a long time to work through books, but this one I am flying through! I've had the book for a couple weeks and I am already halfway through! I love it!It gives truth, and then practical ways to practice that truth and apply it. It really helps you take steps of healing!

This book is pretty deep. It touched me in ways I really couldn't figure out. It will be one of those books you just have to go back to every now and then to get back in touch with ourselves. I love Sheri Rose Shepard!Her books show a transparent and loving spirit that wants to be obedient to the Lord. Every time I read certain passages, I can't help but cry or smile. I HIGHLY recommend this book for every girl who desires a relationship and who wants to grow closer to our savior, let Him speak sweet and truthful words to you.

I enjoyed this book. Have been familiar w/Sheri's ministry for along time. I know how we get caught up in the fantasy of love, and after years, of mistakes, finally believe, and get it, it's all about the Lord.

I've read it once before but I decided to re-read and refresh my memory on the truths inside this book. It can be applied to anybody no matter what stage of the relationship you may or may not be in. I've passed it on yo my sister and next I'll let my mum read.
