Beautiful design. Easy to read. Not the best build quality, but I can compromise.

I've been an admirer of the Braun alarm clocks for many years, having owned one of their voice activated alarms. That clock is still running but the lume on the hands had stopped working and it didn't have a light. This new round clock is classic Braun minimalist design that just delivers on the important aspects; a simple elegant shape with a clearly visible face. The hands have good lume on them, and there is alight that illuminates the face gently for 5 seconds when you press down on the clock. The shape looks like it will roll away, but it's very sturdy and steady. The alarm is one that starts of with a couple of chirps a second of so apart, then after a few seconds the number of chirps increase. To snooze the alarm for 5 minutes just press down on the clock, then to stop the alarm permanently press the button on the top. When the alarm is set this raises and displays a green band to clearly show the alarm is set. If I were to find any gripe it would be that I'd like the alarm to start quieter and increase in volume as well as beep frequency, but that's minor. I find this clock a perfect size for a bedside table, and it does what you need really well. Worth the money and I expect will last for many years.

No batteries included. How frustrating. I can't even use it, because I don't have any spare AAA batteries hanging around and no shops near me to buy any! All other products bought online usually come with one battery.OK so I found a battery. Can't believe I paid £20 and they couldn't give one in the package. Ridiculous.The clock is very basic. It isn't completely silent so you will hear it faintly at night. But silent enough. Very quiet and easy to not notice.The light on the clock is so bad. It literally lights up one corner of the clock and is not very bright at all. So you have to put some effort into reading the time at night.The clock has these glow in the dark tips on the minute/second hands but they are not visible enough.Worst practical clock you can buy IMO.

So pleased I ordered this as a back up alarm clock. It looks neat and you cant hear it ticking! . The light function is handy. Easy to use.
