F&C 3" Barbecues BBQ Smoker Pit Grill Thermometer Temp Gauge

I purchased this thermometer to replace the one that came with my masterbuilt smoker (stopped working after 3 uses). In terms of accuracy, this thermometer accurately read my home temperature to within a degree or two, during the 3 days that it sat on my kitchen counter waiting to be installed. After its first use in the smoker, it worked perfectly (the masterbuilt thermometer caused me to ruin 2 briskets and 3 racks of ribs!). I am so happy with it, that I am ordering a second to replace my weber grill thermometer as well.

This gauge is well constructed, good material etc.Unfortunatly it would not work on my Brinkman smoker without a clamp to attach it to the opening.Emailed seller and a prompt refund was given. A very fair and honest seller. They could however change the description to head off other buyers with my same smoker.Thanks, Paul in Texas

I ordered this thermometer to indicate the temperature of an air duct from our oven to the fume hood over the stove. The thermometer needed to be calibrated and was adjusted with pliers on the hex nut holding the temperature probe and rotating the dial face. The only thing "wrong" with the thermometer is that the indicator needle was stamped crooked. One only notices that "defect" when looking for problems. It looks nice and more professional than the colorful dials. The price is great too!

It shipped fast and works well. But got waterlogged in the first week. Now it is hard to read and I wonder how long it will last...

Fits fairly well. Needed a washer to seal as the hole was larger than the probe. Easy to read, installs in about a minute.

Good quality. set oven to 225 degrees and put thermometer in the oven. 10 minutes later gauge was at 225 degrees +/- 2 degrees tops!!! This on top of the great price rates it 5 starts for me.

Made in China as with all of these aftermarket dial thermometers. Mfg quality was o.k., arrived undamaged by US mail; sellers delivery was fine, albeit slow in comparison to Amazon prime. Problem is - It says in the item description, need 1/4" hole. Turns out thats wrong and it would not go in the existing hole. My Jennair grill is predrilled and this was a replacement for the old Temp gage that died - I compared this one to the original and it is clearly larger in diameter. I did not want to drill the lid to my grill and have to deal with the metal shavings etc. Turns out the Char-broil Universal temp guage from my local big-box hardware store fits, even though it is labelled "fits 3/8" hole" - Interesting to ponder: if the 3/8" fits, why doesn't this 1/4" ( =2/8") unit fit? Live and Learn.

It was easy to install, and works great. No problems yet. Found it's very easy to control my temps. I don't know why I waited so long.
