Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Vol. 1 Paperback – July 5, 2011

This series of 5D’s is personally one of my favorites including the anime. These books and there series are much different but share some differences that also make them a fun read. If you get the chance please read these books and give them a chance you will not regret it.

My order was received quick and effectively, and not only that i received it in just a day far quicker than anything else iv ever ordered online. I was really happy with the purchase and the product it is very likely i will order again this way.

This is again much much better than the english dub of the anime like the GX manga vs the english anime. The charaters seem to have a lot more personality than in the anime. The odd thing about the manga is the I can't find Mr.takahashi's name anywhere on the cover, but that is nothing ageinst it. There is a really fast element with the duels. The duels that seems to strech on way too long also move very fast and in many duels in the manga that I've read suffer from only one or none of these the 5Ds duels however due (I guess) to the artist's limitations to 21-page chapter for the SJ mounthly suffer either from BOTH or none. Read the 2nd volume and you'll definatly know what I mean. My friends agree with me on this. The story also seems to be much more well developed with Jack being the main adversary with Yusie earlier than in the anime. Many agrovating characters are either down played or not included at all. Also the series does not have the stupid crimson dragon thing in it and I hope it is not put it in later. Overall very good start to a hopfully great Yu-Gi-Oh manga adaptation.

Always wanted this book, and I finally got it with the card too! This is a must buy for Yu-Gi-Oh! Fans!

My grandson loved it!

I got this because my significant other recommended the series. I got it today, it was not in shrink wrap and the card was removed. Ther is also a cut in the back page. Other than that the book was in okay condition but i was still upset that the limited card was removed 1/10 never buy again from this person

It's whole different, then the anime's story, so I think it could be interesting for a YGO fan, because it delivers new storyline, characters ( and character relationships), and adventures.

Bei diesem Manga handelt es sich um die Mangaumsetzung des Animes "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's", die nach dem Anime erschien. Diese englische Ausgabe ist etwas größer als die japanische Version, wie ich schon auf Vergleichsbildern abschätzen konnte. Inhaltlich habe ich ihn bisher nur überflogen, die Übersetzung scheint sehr in Ordnung zu sein. Allerdings ist diese an die amerikanische TV-Version angepasst, so wurden also die englischen Namen aus der US-Version übernommen (Aki wird zu Akiza u. a.). Eine Karte war nicht enthalten, in der japanischen Version wird wohl eine vorhanden gewesen sein. Ansonsten ist der Manga aber sehr gut anzuschauen, es ist halt die US-Version, aber das war mir beim Kauf schon bewusst. Man hat den Manga zumindest nicht an die gesamte Zensur des Animes angepasst. Wer also nichts gegen diese Punkte einzuwenden hat, kann ruhig zugreifen. Für den Rest würde ich die japanische Originalversion empfehlen, da man derzeit nicht von einer deutschen Release ausgehen kann.
