I was really surprised this cream worked so well. During Decembers I am in Minnesota, other time in Florida. Two days after I arrive, I immediately always got not only cuts on my knuckles, but large cracks on my fingertips that hurt so bad. All caused from the cold, dry air, washing dishes, and doing normal chores around the house. For years I'd try different lotions, using other crack lotions while wearing finger protectors and gloves to bed. It was a nightmare to deal with every December and these finger cuts hurt like h***. This year, I was prepared and asked my dermatologist what to do. She suggested "Gloves in a Bottle", a lotion to start using in October before the cold set in. I purchased that on Amazon (blue bottle) and using that has made a tremendous difference. By the way, that lotion isn't greasy at all, love it! But then after a week, small cracks and cuts were beginning to surface. I bought this after reading the reviews and miraculously, I would apply just a tiny bit on each crack, go to bed and they were gone the next day. These would be little red cracks that would burn and hurt. So my advice to you is use the Gloves in a Bottle in the morning and evenings starting before the bitter cold starts and to try this when a cut or crack does appear. Highly recommend.

In the winter I have dry hands and especially around my fingernails. This item is a great size so I keep it in my purse. The cream is thick but perfect for rough dry spots on my hands. I use several times a day and provides instant relief. It's unscented so it doesn't bother me to keep applying as needed. It absorbs well. I have found my new favorite product for my hands and will purchase again!

Soothing and healing for cracked skin

This product works so well. It’s almost a miracle. I sometimes get those really annoying and painful cracks in the corners of my mouth because I’ll nervously lick my lips. Chapstick can help prevent it and can help reduce the pain but I have to apply it obsessively if I have a crack in the corner of my lip and then since it’s takes so long to heal it gets red and looks weird.With this thing it’s almost like a miracle. I don’t knew what it has in it, because the active ingredient, petroleum, I’ve tried using on its own for the cracks in the corner of my lips but I have the same results with that as I do with chapstick.This I literally apply and can go hours with no pain and often my lips are healed overnight.The only thing is the stuff is slightly white in color but I can often apply it so you can only see I have it on when I open my mouth. Or if I apply it at night then it doesn’t matter what it looks like.But if you get those cracks in the corner of your lips then I 100% recommend this.

•Experience & Suggestions;-Add a secondary moisturizer for maximum results & speed.-Trust me when I say it seriously helps to take some non-scented non-irritating regular lotion on the thinner side, such as lubaderm, and apply immediately after this product.-Through my own experience I have learned this maximizes the hydration and speeds up the process to heal the cracking.**You would think after applying this lotion it would not let any other lotion through it’s barrier due to the viscosity of it, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It allows the passage of thinly formulated lotions to pass through while retaining the hydration beneath it on your skin.**•Complaints & Issues; -Biggest complaint only complain I have is the tiny tube and the super tiny hole. It makes it a little difficult to squirt out with one hand. -Having a larger size option would be most ideal for those of us who plan to use it on larger areas (I.e. shins & knees). -I wouldn’t say this product has warmth, not sure why that was a star selection.•Conclusion(s);-I would RECOMMEND, RE-PURCHASE, & most definitely ADVOCATE for its effectiveness in a solution for severely cracked/dry skin.-I have had issues with severe dry skin due to my thyroid issues, and at times it gets so dry no matter the amount of moisturizer I apply, that it cracks and bleeds even. My fingers, toes and shins have never felt more elastic prior to using this.

The end of my dominant thumb split open and wouldn’t heal up because I use it so much. I tried liquid bandage and it would just end up splitting even deeper. Finally it was so painful I got this.I applied two times in the first 6 hours of owning. It stayed on pretty well, but I put on extra before bed. It is nearly healed up 12 hours later. Omg I can’t believe how well and quickly this worked!!

Every Maine winter my right thumb gets super dry despite applying lotion regularly, so much so that it splits at the tip. Ouch. My normal routine is to put on Neosporin and cover it with a bandage. I asked my dermatologist what to do to seal the split and she said that Crazy Glue works well! I was going to order some but then saw this Gold Bond product. Perfect, I thought! Nope. It does NOT fill any of the cracks in my thumb, small or the split, and it washes right off despite the promise of "lasts through handwashing" on the box. The "precision tip" is a gimmick. This is basically petroleum jelly with some other ingredients. However, I still give it three stars for moisturizing my thumb which it does very well. Maybe once the split and cracks heal it will be good at preventing new ones.
