Other than the fact that these seem to run a little big, they are absolutely everything. I am a "sensory" person, and I hate having things press, rub, pinch, or otherwise subject me to unpleasant sensations. Furthermore, when purchasing things, I endeavor to avoid plastics, microplastics, and try like crazy to buy made-in-the-USA products, though that's a tough one to pull off, these days, particularly with prices the way they are in 2023, which is to say, exorbitant.As far as the sizing issue goes, I have seen this mentioned in other reviews - they do seem to run a bit large. I did wash and dry on hot, which did seem to shrink the cotton a bit, but it's still a bit too loose on me, and shifts around quite a bit. I will purchase another, and I will go ahead and size down. I would say if you're between sizes or on the slender side, do size down. The gowns will shrink up a bit due to being 100% cotton, but not enough to compensate for the generous sizing.As for style, they are lovely. I have read this style of gown described as "dowdy," but I do not find them dowdy in the least. I think they are pretty, delicate, and demure. They have lovely detailing, like embroidery and smocking, that you just don't see anymore. Everything about them, from construction, to details, to material (blessed, natural cotton only) harkens back to a time when things were better designed, better constructed, and lasted a long time, which I hope this gown will do.Pretty, comfy, and keeps me cool at night - even though it's a bit roomy for me and shifts around a bit, it's a small price to pay for being essentially perfect in every other way, and that's a problem that can be corrected by purchasing the correct size.As for the last piece for me (being made in the USA), I actually poked around a bit and could not find that information. The company, it seems, is English. The USA website says it's a subsidiary of Vermont Teddy Bear Company. Wherever it is made, it seems well-constructed and unlike every other article of clothing I have purchased in the past few years, has no loose threads or seams as yet, after several washings, so I am pleased with the quality of construction. If I knew these were manufactured in the USA or Europe, they would be a 10/10 for me, but even lacking that knowledge, these gowns are a solid 9. Couldn't be more pleased.

Will return sleepgown for exchange one size up.Straps are short and none adjustable.Not for busty women.Hopefully a larger size will work.Its so pretty.You wont be disappointed.

This nightgown/ dress is complete perfection. The sewing is impeccable the design is flawless and the fit is ideal for me( large busted, petite person). These remind me of the specialty nightgowns my mother would buy in downtown San Francisco in the late 1980’s 90’s. Those were super high end from Magnin’s and were imported from Italy… I still have one of hers that is almost identical to this one. The cotton is incredibly soft. I do believe the gowns my mother bought were over $100 way back when. I cannot say enough about these and after the first I practically have every color. I will buy more to stash away just in case. They kinda remind me of the slip nightgown Carrie wore in Sex and the city.., elegant a bit old fashioned and girly… true girly girl nightgown. Funny thing is today I threw on a jean jacket and sneakers and felt completely perfect wearing it as a dress. It looks good with an oversized sweater and distressed boots too.

I ordered this cute, summery nightgown because we are going through a major heatwave here in California. The nights are miserable. Our 1890s Victorian home does not have air conditioning and the other night it was a sweltering 97 degrees inside! So, I thought this would be the perfect nightgown for the hot weather since cotton is so breathable.My first impression was that the nightgown is adorable and just what I expected. I wanted something with that Victorian flair as it would be something a woman would have worn back in the 1800s when my home was first built. I was impressed with the high quality of the gown. It came cutely packaged in an outer bag that would make it perfect for gift-giving. You can tell the company takes pride in their product.Now, here is my issue and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The sizing is way off. I read this in prior reviews and thought I had adjusted for this problem. Instead of ordering a medium which I would usually do, I ordered a small. I am 5' 2" and weigh about 124 lbs. I normally wear a small or medium depending on the brand/designer. However, I ordered the small because of the prior reviews. I definitely should have ordered the x-small. Trust the reviews, when in doubt---go smaller!Anyway, the bottom line is I returned it. *sad face* However, I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered an x-small in a different style that may be more accommodating to size variances. My recommendation is a definite YES on the product, with a precautionary word to order smaller.To the company, I would just like to say keep making these beautiful, Victorian gowns. I can't wait to find the one that is perfect for me!

I am 5'4" 167lbs 34D thick waist round bottom and larger than I'd like thighs and the large (L) fit perfectly! Not too long not too wide. Gown falls straight without clinging to my thighs. It's beautiful and the most comfortable fabric. Washes well too! I wash in a pillowcase (like one reviewer suggested) on cold setting, hanwash cycle and dryed on delicate very low heat just to get the dampness out and then hung to finish drying. Barely any wrinkles, so no ironing is needed which is a plus. I bought two other nightgowns all fit but different sizes so I hope my detail ed body description will help on sizing 🫶

Love this nightgown! It is good quality, cute and totally comfortable. I’ve abandoned my other nightgowns :) I’m a size 16 with a big bust and hips and I ordered XL and it was perfect.

Taglia media perfetta per me. Di solito porto la 44 italiana. La camicia da notte è molto femminile; in un fresco cotone di ottima qualità, ha una linea morbida, fluida e comoda, senza però essere troppo ampia. Lunghezza : qualche centimetro sopra la caviglia, come nell' immagine. Come piccolo tocco di raffinatezza , il capo è confezionato in una busta di organza bianca. Andrebbe bene anche come vestito da mare. Sono più che soddisfatta del mio acquisto.

Déception avec cette robe qui promettait élégance et confort conjugués !Alors que j'ai bien bien pris soin de me référer aux mesures fournies par la marque, pour ce modèle Ruby (et non celles du tableau générique d'Amazon, qui ne convient pas du tout ! ) la robe s'est avérée bien trop ample, au niveau de la partie supérieure = bretelles trop lâches, empiècement poitrine démesurément trop grand et vraiment mal taillé.Seule la partie inférieure de la robe correspondait bien aux mesures indiquées et à mon gabarit.Un joli coton qualitatif, avec de délicates broderies et des motifs de fleurs comme je les aime, mais manifestement un réel problème de confection avec ce modèle, trop grand en haut, inconfortable et inélégant.Je retourne l'article.
