Prince2 for Beginners :Prince2 self study for Certification & Project Management

I bought this book because the official guide got lost in the mail and I needed something to start studying. This study guide is very complete and easy to understand. It gives a good overall view of the subjects to be evaluated in the foundations exam. Great value for the money!

I bought this book to prepare for the PRINCE2 Foundation exam. I will update this review with regard to the exam after sitting the exam.The book is short and easy to read. It addresses the topics without unnecessarily long explanations. The arrangement of the sections is also easy to follow and it has useful study tips and mnemonics at the end of various sections.It would have been nice to have samples of the various documents used in PRINCE2, rather than descriptions only.Also, the book has surprisingly many editing and proofreading errors: spelling mistakes, missing words, wrong interchange of 'Project,' 'Product' and 'Program,' misplaced diagrams and even mistakes in the included practice exam.I think the book is good for anyone wishing to get a quick understanding of PRINCE2.

Excellent book. I used it to study for foundation and the practitioner and passed both exams with flying colours!!!

Good overview, structured and clear description of Prince2

Background- I am a Cisco professional with about 4 years experience in administration and engineering.I was interested in a certification with project management and read this while waiting for my Prince2 manual to come in. I finished half the book and it definitely helped me get into Prince2 topics and familiar with the elements.When my manual came in, I was overwhelmed by the information it contained. Prince2 For Beginners is great, covers most of the topics you need and will make you confident in learning the stuff. I passed my exam, I would of definitely done better if I read the whole book front to back. Take notes while you read this book and you'll be golden with some practice on the side.-Raul

Good book covers the basics

I brought this book to assist in my learning the Prince2 Foundation course because the manual is so wordy, and not easy to take in. I had read a previous review of the Prince2 manual and this book was recommended and I’m so glad I brought it.It’s easy to read, it has study tips and exam practice questions. Quite frankly I didn’t refer to the actual module book at all and utilised this Prince2 for beginners; making sure I put in the time and effort to study, understand and remember what I was reading. Studying is essential during this process but this Prince2 for beginners is enough material to study from.I did also buy a 200 Prince2 Questions & Answers book/ Pass Always, as well to help me practice for the exam which was useful but be careful with some of the answers because you should be able to identify any errors in the Q/A if you study well and there were one or two.Other than that, money well spent on this and I would highly recommend this book. Good luck!

ONLY use that book to pass my Foundation Exam. If You wanna pass your exam, just read that book thoroughly '3' Times. With My instructions-1. First Time Without Understanding -2. 2nd Time Little understanding -3. 3rd Time Complete Understanding -4. Take APMG'S SAMLPLE EXAM!4. Take THE REAL exam as soon as possible within a week, before You forget anything :PPrince2 Foundation is Quite Easy. Let me get down to the specfics:Exam/Learning perspective:- I have cleared my foundation exam yesterday - and based on my experience, I can safely say that this pocket guide is more than enough to clear your foundation exam.-It will walk you through the principles, themes and process and also has a handy appendix+sample paper.-I also purchased PRINCE2 Study Guide (David Hinde) and it proved to be unnecessary/information overload from a foundation perspective.-Please note that if you are about to give practitioner exam as well - then this book will NOT be sufficient.
