The design as I have been well informed has changed but the product remains the same with great taste and the lasting effects it has on peaceful sleep.

The first time I tasted Horlics I was in London. The taste was so gentle and warm. I bought a few jars of it in London and now drink a mug or two every evening. When I noticed that I had almost ran out of it, I thought I've got to find away to order some more. You can't find Horlicshere in Finland. I was lucky to find that it'spossible to order it on web. I love Horlics!

Similar ingredients to Carnation, but I thought this would be better than such a run of the mill brand. Maybe I just thought it would be better because it’s British in spite almost identical ingredients, taste was vastly different in milk or milk shakes. Must be proportions, or the malting process they use, or something.

I've been to England and the bed and breakfast place we stayed in included packets of Horlicks for night time beverages. I loved drinking it right before bed, not sure it helped me sleep any better, I just liked the warm beverage before bed. I brought some back with me from England, but have since used it up and I wanted to get some more. I was very happy that Amazon had it.But ... I haven't tried this version yet. On the packets that we used in the UK and the containers I brought back, all of them on the front had the "Just add water". The container I received had "Just add milk" on the front. I was aware that there were different versions of this mix, but I relied on the product picture informing me what version I purchased. I drink milk very rarely as I am lactose intolerant and thus don't keep milk in the house. Now I'll have to try this with water and hope it tastes the same as the other version.Edit:I have used this and it tastes pretty good. You do need to use milk (I've been using Lactaid) and it tastes great, just like I remembered.

I grew up in a city in Wisconsin where Horlicks had a facility. We could get Horlicks Malk powder in glass jars and it was WONDERFUL! Pure malt flavor you could put in milk, or add to just about anything! Horlicks sprinkled on chocolate ice cream was a real treat. This tastes nothing like that. I don't even know how to describe the taste - but malt would not be one of the words I would use!

This is a huge container of Horlicks! Would definitely buy this again. We use to drink this when we lived in England and helps you sleep. Will order more soon.

Personally, I don't care for Horlicks, preferring non-fat milk, but my husband, 86, of English background says this is his favorite bedtime drink. Since he has some kidney malfunction, and is trying to lose weight, he has cut down from three teaspoonsful to one scant teaspoonful per 6 oz. of milk, plus one package of "Spenda" sweetener, about two to three nights weekly. This, like other British foods we order, are "comfort foods", reminding him of a happy childhood.
