Condensation neutralizer for furnace. Expensive! But does the job.

I got the Rinnai condensate neutralizer cartridge, because water from the high efficiency furnace was severely corroding the cast iron floor drain and probably the pipes too. The cartridge came with round pellets that worked well to neutralize the flue gas condensate to 7 using ph test strips. I got the Rinnai refill because the Rinnai cartridge kit seems to be high quality, and I'm sure the refill will also work well. My only concern is that $40 for a small bag of gravel seems too high.

I bought this to be used in my Navien heating / hot water unit. The description said it could be used in a Navien unit. Unfortunately it was a waste of money and I had to get the Navien Neutralizer Refills from another source. I purchased the Rinnai from Amazon because I needed the refills in 2 - 3 days. The Rinnai may be appropriate for another brand but not Navien and cost a few dollars less.
