This is the second time I have ordered these socks. Not because the others wore out, but because I genuinely needed more. They provide exactly the support I need to prevent ankle swelling and maintain healthy blood circulation in my legs, especially on days when I'm trapped working at my desk for hours on end. They are comfortable, supportive and never slip. They are also easy to wash.

I bought the dark gray L/XL size, I am taller than average at 6' and have to turn down the top several inches of the socks or they would be thigh length instead of knee length. The spot that is obviously supposed to be the heel is running up the back of my foot rather than covering the back corner of my foot. That being said wearing them doesn't feel weird or like they are out of place, they don't fall or slide down even through I fold down the top several inches. Getting them on isn't too difficult, takes a little longer and a little more effort than regular socks, and I do feel like I am getting the extra support of compression socks. I was worried they would be very thin as some compression socks (hose) are but they seem decently thick and warm. I would definitely buy compression socks again in the future but probably try a different brand or style that wouldn't be overly long the way these are.

They last, and last!

I have mild swelling around my ankles sometimes. It's partly due to age (75) and partly due to BP meds. On days when I can get in a brisk, hour long walk or a similar amount of time on the elliptical machine at the gym, it only comes on at night. My doctor suggested wearing compression socks in the evening. These seemed to help. I wear a size 8.5 shoe and they fit. Snug but not too tight. The toe box is a little roomy, but still OK. I also shoot in something called Steel Challenge about every other week. On those days I am on my feet almost continuously for around six hours. That really brings on the swelling, so the last two times I decided to try wearing the socks all day. I found them comfortable and they really kept the swelling down. I will continue to wear them until it gets hot. At that time I'll be wearing shorts and foolish vanity will likely keep my from wearing them but that's my problem, not the socks.

My husband has a partial tear of his achilles tendon, and these socks help keep the swelling down and provide needed support.

For some reason, the black ones are 2-3 inches "taller" than the white ones. I have to turn them down a bit, making them unusable due to discomfort. Buy the white ones. They're fantastic!

I really like this product because it was very comfortable and easy to wash.
