Works well, with SOME magnetic motors
Okay, so this was originally sold to regulate some sort of ancient Router system aimed at server farms or business IT Guys, that is NOT a problem.It works well on some mag motor pond pumps too. It works on my Alpine Eco-Sphere 2800 Water Fountain Pump Alpine Customer Care was a major disappointment to me. I asked them if they had a regulator to control the flow on that pump (Way too powerful for a 3000 gallon pond) but they never even bothered to acknowledge my questions. So in future I will not buy from Alpine again. Meanwhile, this little power regulator does the job very well.

It works great with the 8
Very important to note that this does note work with the biggest Anjon pumps - 9,000 gal/hr and over. It works great with the 8,000 gal/hr and under pumps. This allows you to control the flow to your water feature exactly and to lower the rate at times when high flow is not needed, thus lowering electricity consumption.

Does not control 15 Amp Motor - Probably Not for Continuous Use
The unit I received had a sticker on the side that said "Router Controller".Tried using this to control a 640 W pump for waterfall. Worked great for about a week, then quit controlling the speed. Reported problem to seller and was told it would not work above 6 amps. I was probably just below that at full power, but when I pointed out their description said 15 Amps they apologized and sent me a full refund.

Much to sensitive.
move the dial about 1/8 inch and the pump goes from full on to full off. Much to sensitive to use.

Don't buy,
The add leads you to think it is a speed control designed for waterfall pumps. What was sent was a router speed control. The router setup instructions were in the box! So big lie there that the unit was for waterfall pumps!!The unit was a cheap router speed control that failed after the third use. A total running time of about 7 hours.Best advice I can give is not to buy it and do not buy anything that ships or is sold by Amazing Pond Supplies.
