questionable support
Having had problem with cheaper unit, decided to purchase a better (?) product. Ordered this 28 Jan- dld 29th v good, BUT immediately realised UV lamp not working( light window not illuminating(tried switching on/off couple times. Still not working and dispite couple of mail contacts am NOT getting any support, answers from supplier.This may be( and possibly is) just the one faulty product that can happen, but after sales careis xxxxxxx.

High maintenance and keep an eye on the UV lamp as it’s prone to failure.
Worked fine for about a week until the UV lamp failed and I had to buy a replacement. I noticed that the lamp is protected by a glass shield which is only a push fit in the pump so would easily allow water ingress and compromise the hot bulb. Poor design. The filter is also very thin sponge and gets blocked very easily requiring almost daily maintenance. Not great I’m afraid. Probably have to search for a better one soon as I’ve only just found out that goldfish can live up to forty-odd years!!Update: Second bulb failure. Pump in bin.
