It did fit my daughter's 2019 Sub Forester. I was initially hesitant to buy this filter as there was some "fit issues" while reading the reviews. When I initially pulled out the old filter and compared it to the new filter, the "new filter" was about a half inch bigger than the old filter and I thought to just send it back as it was too big. I'm glad I went ahead and gave it a shot, putting it in as it fit with no issues. The filter has some "give" so it can be "pressed in" with no issues. I have to wonder if the old "dealer filter" was too small, as this one fit so well in the end.

Fits rather snugly into the housing but ok. The number of “pleats” across the surface isn’t as dense as the Danko filters which cost $10 more.

Foam border makes it a difficult fit for a 2019 subaru forester. Had to cut a lot of the foam in order to make it fit.

I’ve been using the Ecogard automotive filters for years on multiple cars and have always been satisfied with the performance they provide.They might be slightly more expensive than some other brands BUT they do the job they’re designed to do and that’s what really matters in the end. The minimum addition cost is worth not having dirt and dust mess up your engine, that’s gonna be a lot more expensive to fix. These filters are very good.
