Can this be used for stainglass

Yes . But a better choice would be solid solder and a water soluble liquid rosin. A 50/50 solder would be more ridged. Just my opinion.

I used basic flux paste with this solder and it worked just great.

Im just startimg.off soldering and was wondering is it ok to solder wires to a 9v battery? And also is there a certain kind of solder for doing this?

When soldering batteries, to avoid destroying the battery with excess heat, tin the battery with just enough heat to get the solder to flow to the battery and tin the leads. Let the battery cool, then place the lead on the tinned battery and heat just enough for the wire to attach to the battery. Let the battery cool before soldering the second lead. I learned that the hard way.
