very educational
I asked Amazon by email if they could make Snap Circuit Snaptricity available. I had found the product whilst searching the internet for some educational tool for my 6 year old son who had just started learning about the basics of electricity at school. I found this product, and it was only availably in the U.S. Amazon UK guided me to a dealer via their website. The price was a 1 to 1 translation of the dollar price into pound. The product arrived after about 2 weeks - presumably imported fro mthe U.S.Snaptricity appears to be reasonably sturdy although I guess in the rough and tumble items can break. It is very deductically presented with a good guide book. The book should be taken seriously and read with all introductory warnings and tips on how to use the circuit setup diagrams. This is above the level of insight and patients of a 6 year old (the product is aimed at 8 year olds) and for this age and close adult supervision is needed. We tried the first few circuits. They are complex and in one experiment there are really several different learning points. Modifying some circuits to make them simpler makes sense.I am very happy with the purchase and hope to use this set to help my boys develop an understanding of the fundamentals of electricity, electromagnetism, switches, and relays going on to more advanced electronics in a couple of years using further sets of the same make.I was very impressed with the help I received from Amazon making available something that was intially not for purchase on their website.

The product is easy to use, great instructions. Kids can build so many other projects. Great for any age.
