Works great, clean and neat caulk bead
I used this while replacing an aging caulk bead between a quartz counter and tile backsplash at my parent’s house. I’m a pretty good at DIY caulking, but this upped my game enough that I bought my own kit for my house. A few weeks later I heard that my parents had a contractor at the house doing other work. He was admiring the backsplash and actually wanted to know who had run the new caulk bead because it was such a nice job! A compliment to me or the Pro Caulk kit? Who cares, it worked great. Plus, saved me from sticking my finger in the caulk like I normally do, which is not a great thing to do since caulk isn’t supposed to come in contact with your skin. Please do not to expect this to fix a horribly messy application of way too much caulk. You have to use the proper amount and smooth the bead for a nice cosmetic finish. And I only used the one blue edger in the kit that was the correct size for the corner I was working on. Compare the different edgers with the area you are working on first, then you can estimate how much caulk to apply.

Handy tools
These little tools make leaving visually appealing caulk lines very easy. I've always done a good job with a soapy wet finger but decided to give these a try. Kept my finger tips from getting sore during a large project with a lot of linear feet of caulking. Easy to clean and still look new after a lot of use.

Simple and it worked beautifully for silicone caulk!
I re-caulked a bath shower with silicone caulk and this caulking tool worked perfectly. Silicone caulk can be messy and I know from past experience using your finger as a smoothing tool does not work so well. This tool avoids all that mess and I got a nice clean bead of caulk. There are three plastic shaping tools supplied in the kit. Each one has a variety of corner bead sizes and shapes; square, radius, 45° beveled. The plastic is slightly soft to the touch, which actually makes it work really well as a squeegee when you smooth out the caulk. The tool has a beveled side and a flat side with the edge of the tool being chisel shaped so the contact surface is relatively narrow. I held the tool at at 90° angle to the wall of the shower and the shower base and pushed the flat side "forward" thru the freshly applied silicone caulk. As excess caulk built up on the front of the tool I removed the tool from the surface and wiped it clean with a paper towel. In a few minutes I had the silicone bead looking nice a neat. The slightly rubbery quality of the plastic really seemed to help remove any excess caulk beyond the edge of the bead. A far better looking caulk bead than using ye-old-finger.

Stick with DAP; IT MATTERS!
I've tried saving a few bucks using non-namebrand kits that are similar. The pliability of the blue edgers in this surpasses all the others. Off-brands are too rigid like a ungiving plastic. The edgers in this kit flex ever so slightly, which is perfect for sealing tightly on a corner before smoothing. It's a fantastic brand and the price beat other sellers and stores. I can't even ice a birthday cake and this makes my caulking work look professional.

I wasnt very happy. Not happy with the results
We installed crown moulding and baseboard through a whole 2000 sq foot house. I bought this to give my fingers a break from trying to caulk it all. After using the blue pieces, I wasnt very happy. Not happy with the results. Was using this with Satchco Big Stretch caulk. The best part of this kit is the clear nozzle and the 3 red tips to preserve the caulk.

Great Investment for any DIYer or land lord.
Great Idea, takes some practice. Use the tapered edge of the caulking tool as the leading edge and slowly and with even pressure glide across the surface. Don't use too much pressure. The trick is to use medium, even pressure throughtout your work area so it creates an even surface. Also do not use too much silicone and work on one area at the time, for example, if you are caulking a bathtub, treat each edge of the bath tub as a separate work area so the surface of the silicone doesnt have the change to start getting hard. It will help you create a smoother edge. Resist the urge to go over the surface again once the silicone has started getting harder, you will only make it worse

Very nice for places you don't want to put your finger
Gets the job done. A wet finger is good most of the time, but can be problematic for long runs or runs in hazardous-to-flesh areas such as lining splintering plywood (yeah, that wasn't fun) or abrasive pavement. One key I've found to success with these is that you've got to maintain the "wet" state, just like you would a finger. The catch--and probably the reason these get a bad rap--is that it is easy to tell when you need to re-wet your finger. With tools like these, you'll have to use other indicators for determining when to re-wet them for the best smoothing performance.

Beyond disappointed
The scrapper is made of plastic and not strong plastic... As I tried to remove the old shower floor/wall caulking, the black coloring penetrated the old stuff and not only could I not remove the black plastic particles but I could not remove the caulking! Then once I did ( with a screwdriver) and used the edge(s) of a couple of other pieces, the caulking smeared and had to use my dampened finger in the end. Of course it looks terrible and it's a good thing I did this in the back bathroom shower that only DH and I use, not company. If you don't care how your caulking job turns out, then buy this. I do NOT recommend this product.

Good product. Works as described.
Good product. Easy to clean and works as described. However some additional accessories like the caulk tube covers are completely useless and don't work!

Showed up as described. Rubber seems softer then a friends set that I had borrowed of a different brand and my other set that I just received. However, it beats using my finger and end results are more professional looking. I also bought the cheaper no names ones from amazon aswell.... I can say they seem fairly decent.... probably should have just bought them as they are fair cheaper and it's a piece of rubber....hard to go wrong.

Sure to impress if used correctly
Very happy with this item, Remember to use the flat back side facing you if pulling towards you when caulking for cleaner results. Everyone is impressed but the results and I often get asked to do finishing touches now. I later ordered European kits of similar products from eBay because they came in nice cases and had a couple of neat attachments to accommodate grout lines and product an even more consistent bead. I'm in construction industry and many professional handymen don't use these tools because the truth is most of them are not perfectionists, they get paid piecework and quality is just not a priority. But if you want crisp caulking results for a high end look for DIY or an important client then this is an amazing tool and sure to impress.

Does the job, great price.
Great set, they are less flexible than other ones I used, but that's something I like, they will not bend too much, as a result you'll have a pretty consistent bead.Especially like the smaller one, it allows to reach in places I could not with other tools.
