Minwax Fast Drying Polyurethane Protective Wood Finish, Clear Gloss, ½ Pint

I used this on my walking sticks and canes. Goes on smooth and easy, and leaves a great shine. Not much else one can say about this product, except I will buy again when I run out.

DON'T SHAKE THIS PRODUCT BEFORE USE as it causes BUBBLES in your finish! Now that we got that out of the way, this stuff works as it should. It's a bit stinky, so do it outside, or at least open all your windows, put on a fan and go out somewhere while it dries- and don't subject your pets to the stink either. That's not cool. Make sure to put down lots of newspaper, or a tarp or cardboard or whatever on the surface you are working on, as if this stuff gets on your table/counter, it won't come off, nope- not even with turpintine. So, don't get it where you don't want it. Oh, and also- WEAR GLOVES. for real, this stuff is awful on your skin. It looks gorgeous on wood, though- and makes it virtually waterproof. Don't forget to sand between coats! I used a can or two to make shelves for all over our apartment. I used up the entire pile of free pine planks I found.

I got this one for my pantry cabinets and the can was small so I was worried. But when I finished the job I have enough to use for another project. Don't be fooled by "Fast-Drying". You should use it by really thin coating with a brush (or whatever tool you use). I must have brushed too much of it on some parts of the cabinet, it wasn't drying while other parts dried fast enough to do next coating after an hour. Even next day (after 12 hours), the sticky part was still sticky. I was worried that it might never be dry. After 24 hours, no more sticky. Coat very thin each time to dry fast. Another thing you might want to know using this product. This is an oil base. The brush got to be clean with special minerals. I didn't have it, so by the time my cabinet dried completely, my brush got stiff and dry as well. So instead of three coating that I intended to do, I finished with just one coating. Still looks good.

I have been attempting to build my daughter a dollhouse and used this gloss for the floors. It went on easy. With time I was able to smooth out any of the beading that occurred. The floors have a shiny gloss that was completed in an easy manner. Very happy with the product.

This is my favorite varnish for wood, polymer clay (tested by Cindy Leach on YouTube), and on acrylic paintings. This does not turn milky after you've gotten it wet, it is NOT water cleanup, but the clear gloss is a fantastic glossy finish after just one coat. I've never had a brush stroke show on wood or acrylic paintings (my clay pieces were small enough to dip) and it dries quickly. I love it!

Love it,I pour some in a container with some mineral spirits, and make my own wipe on poly,works great and a lot cheaper than buying wipe on polyurethane.

Been using this product for years so I knew it was what I was buying already. Although this was the first time purchasing it online. Not sure why there's a star rating for easy to clean due to the fact it's polyurethane which is oil based. It's easy to clean if you use paint thinner of course. Duh!

Ich hab das Produkt in Kombination mit einem anderen bestellt, das andere Produkt ist top aber statt dem clear gloss hab ich eine Lasur bekommen...

El titulo del producto dice "Minwax 230004444 Brillo de poliuretano secado rápido, 1/2 litro." y no es cierto, 8 Onzas no llega a 1/4 de litro.

Very Easy touse and affect is wonderfull

Bought as a result of reading the review in Fine woodworking. Took an age to be delivered. So far is a good product flows on well and is very clear. Only time will tell if it's as good as it is claimed. I have used it to coat a table top which was French Polished but had suffred from many water and wine stains. Hwnw rubbed down the MINWAX is a good replacement for FP, I just hope that it is a resistant as claimed.
