Inner city school story, hard to believe it's worse now.

I was 5 when this movie came out and I watched it for the first time recently. It was a pretty good movie but in all reality the main character would not have survived this. White drunk anger management needed teacher gets sent to hood crime infested school and its his job to clean it up along with his black side kick lol. Rides a motor cycle carries a baseball bat and talks tough, the guy even stopped a drug deal near the school on that motor cycle with the base ball bat. No police in sight just the principle his sidekick a few other security guards verses the big bad gang bangers and drug dealers lol... Still a good movie to watch, its basically the white version of LEAN ON ME...

A gripping and gritty story unfolds as a serious of violent confrontations on the high school campus leads to a deadly showdown between the dope dealer's gang and Principal Latimer. Not to be missed!

Worth the money to watch the movie

An accurate portrayal of just one impoverished and thug laden highschool. No soft soaping daily environmental threats. Acting from all was excellent. Belushi and Gossett Jr. Were their excellent selfs. Well done.

Insegnante irrequieto, sospeso dal servizio, è punito con la promozione a preside dell'istituto più malfamato della città, dove si fronteggiano bande rivali, una capeggiata dal violento Duncan. Aiutato da un sorvegliante afroamericano, il preside (che gira con una Honda) porrà ordine con metodi quasi simili al suo antagonista. Regia grintosa, cui corrisponde un cast ancora più in forma, è un film dove si respira molto aria anni 80, dalle musiche (nelle quali spicca "Set it off"), alle scene di violenza machista (ma moderate) a toni da western metropolitano (la scuola come la caserma di "Un dollaro d'onore" ). Un salto nel passato consigliato. Ottimo dvd in varie lingue

Très bon film, les effets sonores ont un peu vieilli, mais le film est vraiment top. Tragedie, humour, etc. Belushi est vraiment excellent! fils de 18ans et son amie ont adoré, ils sont pourtant plutôt difficiles sur les films des années 80.
