Gets the job done
Not bad at all. It is not as good as an actual holster OBSVIOUSLY but it gets the job done if you want to use this with any of Vertx packs. For the price you can’t beat it compared to an actual holster. It will do until I save up for a kydex one

Nice, but read the instructions
I like the holster, I really do... but man! Just a little on the expensive side and it does take a little looking at the instructions to figure out. The Maxpedition UPW Universal Pistol Wrap is half the cost, way easier to adjust for different firearms. Granted, this one gives you that custom holster. Got to weight the pro's and con's. Price for something nicer and harder to adjust for several firearms, or cheaper for something easy and not as nice.

I like it, but then I don't. Front post gets snagged.
After extensive research on minimalist holsters for my Eberlestock Bando bag (not XL version, regular size), I settled on this MPH Sub holster. I bought it because it's low profile and weighs next to nothing. Also, the reviews online were mostly positive, but the big issue being the snagging factor. I found the snagging factor to be 100% true, hence the 3 star rating. 1 star for weight, 1 star for minimalist, 1 star for ease of construction (look on YT; some reviewers do a much better job than Vertx on explaining how to put together). As you can see from my pic, I've labeled the direction of the draw and the little part of the holster fabric that is starting to fold upwards because everytime I draw, the material gets snagged. I've learned that if I'm going to draw, I need to: 1) hold the Bando strap on the non-draw side (where my thumb is), while 2) simultaneously yanking the pistol from the holster. This is the most fool proof way of ensuring that the pistol comes out.I'm going to try to address this snagging issue by loosening the holster material, but I don't want to sacrifice retention. Perhaps Vertx product designes could address this asap. One thing I was concerned about was holster retention, but that little black nub rentetion piece does a good job IF IF IF you make sure it's firmly inserted into the area where the slide is exposed.

It works!
I had my doubts if the retention device on Tactigam would actually work and it does. I recommend this holster.

Does what it is supposed to do and does it well.
Bought this for my Vertx EDC Gamut Plus bag to hold my Kel-Tec P11 (9mm) and it works perfectly. Holds the gun in place and does not come out unless you need it too. It was a little tricky to put together but with the Youtube videos out there i was able to get it right and make it work.

Holster bad in practice. Save your money.
First of all, congratulations on passing the first test: browsing the one star reviews. This is amazon afterall....This holster seemed like a good idea in theory for my new EDC sling. And for 20 bucks i figured i would try it out, but honestly i would just save your money towards a real holster made of kydex and retain that to your bag with some sort of strong velcro strap. Luckily my 5.11 lv10 already came with one. In practice there are many issues with this origami thing. My main issue is this:On this holster there are two cut outs. One is for the retention patch over the ejection port. Fine i guess. The second has no known function other than snagging the front iron sight and preventing a draw almost completely without struggling. If there is ever a situation where seconds count, this thing will get you killed. Im bummed and concerned that a company with renown such as this would push such a bad product. On top of that, this was my first purchase towards this brand. Im sure their bags are great, as ive heard great things about them, but sheeesh... stay away from this product at least.

No hassle holster placement
Great holster for subcompacts in the Vertx sling bag. Put it anywhere in the bag that meets your needs.
