This review is for The Amityville Horror 2005 Italian Blu-ray. (English language movie)PLOT...Newlyweds are terrorized by demonic forces after moving into a large house that was the site of a grisly mass murder a year before.The 2005 Amityville horror is still a great movie, maybe not as scary as some movies of its kind but good old classic scary haunted house fun none the less, mainly driven by a strong cast, Ryan Reynolds and the lovely Melissa George, plus younger appearances from Chloë Grace Moretz as their daughter and Rachel Nichols as the sexy babysitter. The movie is well paced out, starts with a nice couple with children who want a fresh start and movie into the wrong house! It slowly starts getting into their heads and leads up to what could be another massacre! Great fun performances and mild jump scares etc, some bloody gory imagery in places. Worth checking out if you like a simple horror on a decent budget.The Blu-ray looks great in HD.No features. Region B UK. Running time 91mins. 2005.The Italian Blu-ray import plays in the original English audio, and Spanish.Subtitles can be turned off.

Great dvd, worth a watch

Love this film. Unfortunately the sound is quiet bad.

Since the original amityvilles as this is a remake with some edgy jumpy scenes. I don't envisage this having the same intensity and impact like the earlier ones as the the house layout is different.

Good film - definitely worth a watch. Loved it. I saw a documentary on the filming of this and apparently strange things were going on in the house. Melissa George had a few experiences and at one stage said she didn't want to be left alone at any time. She said there were definitely creepy goings on when filming on location in the house - oo oo oo

I really liked this movie. It was quite typical of the genre with lots of sudden appearances of figures and such, but it was a good movie and was creepy. I doubt how much of it is true to the real life events though. Good movie.

really great remake of the original. a little different than original, but really good film all the same. if you like a good horror film, this is a good one.

M George plays a brilliant part in this film. the remake of this true story I think is much better than the original, it has more on the edge seat moments than the James Brolin one. and Ryan Reynolds plays a fabulous part as well, its well acted by both of them.
