Half Reading Glasses 2 Pairs Metal Frame 1.00

Super cute. Used it for Seiko Ayase Cosplay from DanDaDan. I don’t need reading glasses but they seem pretty sturdy and I like the way they look on me even outside of cosplay.

I think they’re well made for the price. But there will always be some tardcake with a bad review, usually someone who can’t operate a plastic cup properly

<edit>For some reason, I am not locating any text noting the power on the glass frames themselves, which is kind of disconcerting, as I need to differentiate the two different pairs.</edit> I really like these half readers, first off. I need them for work and I walk around a lot but also need to read at times. These help me in that I can see distance and also use peripheral vision around me. I have a big head so they fit small, though that works out well for me. They are in my sweet spot for reading, yet allow for distance and peripheral viewing. Regular full-size reading glasses blur my vision all over, so I trip a lot or have to take them off. These, I can keep on and avoid tripping, if needed. The frames are a bit delicate but I like the wire ear pieces, as they are somewhat adjustable. The plastic part can be pulled out a bit and slightly bent to grab behind the ears. Careful if you do this, as the end cap ear piece plastic can come all the way off and requires a bit of finagling to get back on. This is my second set. First set I lost one pair and the other one's arm eventually broke. To be fair, I do keep them in my pocket when I don't need them at all and my job is a bit phisical in a distribution center setting. However, the recent set I purchased had one pair with a bent arm and the nose pieces where out of whack and upside down. I had to carefully bend them back into shape, worrying weather or not I might break the fragile metal at the attachment points. It would be nice to have them shipped in a small box instead of a bag. Partially Amazon's fault, but the manufacturer should reconsider replacing their own plastic bag with a box of sorts. Less plastic, too and slightly better for the environment that way. All in all, they work great! The optics are superior for inexpensive readers. One pair for home and the other for work.

I tried to like these, I really did. I am one of those 'people' who put reading glasses on top of their heads because I don't want to get eye surgery, try those new eyedrops that are supposed to help correct farsightedness with bad side effects, or carry the glasses around my neck like a real old person (not the same as putting it on your head haha), so when I saw these and the raving reviews, I thought it was going to be a game-changer, especially with gardening, when I get hot, sweaty and usually knock the glasses off my head into the bushes. Sadly, these did not do it for me for several reasons: old habits are hard to break. I don't like having a half-glass on my nose pinching them or even resting on them, it feels very strange; tried hard to get used to them to no avail, I kept putting them on top of my head, only to get the nose pads stuck and tangled up in my hair, and trying to untangle them from my hair was a real deal-breaker. I've also found that these glasses do no really increase my quality of life; it changes my head posture by making me slouch more to see over the glasses and having to constantly change my neck posture to see things close up and adjust my posture to look over these half-glasses did not work for my life style; maybe if I were a desk worker it would be OK but I am very active, and these do not do it; I'd much rather keep putting the glasses on my head and keep my upright posture. I feel that these glasses make you look OLDER overall by changing your posture, it may not for everyone, but it did for me. They also feel flimsy but I'm guessing they have to be light-weight if you're going to be stooping your head forward like some kind of bird fishing for it's dinner. I'm going to donate these because I dislike them so much. I went to the dollar store to get me a bunch more of the light-weight normal/regular reading glasses to put back onto my head.
